Don't forget, if you use Creative Commons, follow the rules (ex. attribution requirements) TO A TEE. Their are photographers that will sue you, or shake you down for a settlement, if you do not follow to a tree, trust me, we defend these cases all the time.

what do you mean...go to the source? Like go to the channel? right click on picture? WTF. I don't get this? Oh and one more thing...So creative commons is free pictures or no? All the reading I've been doing and I'm still confused about images to use. I actually put photographers names in the pictures I use because I don't know what else to do. My channel isn't monetized, but I wouldn't mind it being one day if I ever get over 1000 subs. I'm at almost 800 now, but I don't even know why they're on my channel since my channel really sucks and it's way too random...and I'm not even close to being a pro youtuber and probably never will be. lol

Never give up! Creative Commons does give you the ability to use the photo or whatever it is without worrying about copyright. It is smart (and kind) to still give credit to the photographer. When I talk about checking the source, I meant to still look at the website that the photo is from by clicking on the image and then clicking on it again when it opens in the black side screen. Sometimes the google screener for Creative Commons doesn’t always work properly so it is best to go to the website where the image is from just to double check!

Since I have no clue how I went from 67 subscribers in a few years, to 750 in 2 months, I have no idea what I did to get them so now I'm feeling all obligated to make more videos. However, I don't have that big of a drive to do it since I find it too time consuming searching for pictures that aren't copyrighted. I'd have more luck doing porn at my age.....I'm 59. 😁😂

Erm, to be honest? Attributing is a tedious task. A very, very time consuming task. No one has time to read licenses. We don't have to be the perfect people, the very nice people, etc etc. It will ruin our life. We just have to meet the "minimum ethics required" and that's it. So my advice y'all: Use CC material, and WHEN, a problem happens, I believe that particular video is affected, not your channel. So in my humble opinion, not a REALLY big deal to use a CC thing blindly and run with it.

Thanks for your input Howard. If you look up copyright strikes on the KZbin Guidelines, when you get 3 strikes against your account in a 90-day period, your account is subject to termination. They give you some time to dispute it I believe but it still wouldn't be fun to deal with.
