When your project is finished and the Gorilla glue top is screwed on tightly, turn the bottle upside down for storage, Don't squirt or squeeze the glue out of the bottle top. Simply turn the bottle right side up, unscrew the top, and apply the glue with an old zip tie, a loon wooden tooth pick or similar. When done, there won't be any mess on the container top to clog it. If there is a little around the top edge of the bottle or the inside of the cap, wipe it clean, screw on the top and store upside down. It works wonders.

If you read the instructions on the bottle, when you want to close the bottle you're supposed to "squeeze all air out of bottle. *While still squeezing* tightly replace lid." I think doing this reduces the odds air will enter and cure the glue in the bottle.

I wany to fix an L-shaped plastic extrusion inside the back of a shelf unit. It is not possible to fit clamps or any other method. A light Perspex shelf will be resting in this plastic. Please give your opinion as to whether simply using small dabs of glue, spaced a bit apart can be used and simply held in place temporarily with some kinda tape. The shelf will not be taking a very heavy weight. I am fixing 4 in total and the back surface is very thin hardboard. Thank you.

This is the glue I would use. It's waterproof and will stick most things. Just remember it's expanding glue, so you don't need much.

Be careful not to purchase the 236ml bottle. It has an ingenious lift-up cap which glues itself to the bottle after use. The first few openings then require a pair of pliers to lift the 'handy' cap. After that, it is blocked and you need to unscrew the cap and pour the glue onto a bit of cardboard. Design fail.

hi do not know where you got your gorilla glue i went to my local store band bought gorila glue and tried the glue on a feather glued it to a arrow shaft done it at 10 am checked it at 4 pm the arrow feather was not even stuck I then put the glue on a damp pencil and got another pencil made it damp and put the pencil on the glue left it for 36 hours then tried to take them apart and the littlest pressure they came apart With ease the glue is rubbish

Jack you're a weirdo. I once held up and ac unit with this stuff. It was put on outside brick and held the heavy unit like it was nothing. I couldn't use screws on the outside. Crazy stuff.

Sounds like you got a dud or didn’t actually use Gorilla Glue. If you tried glueing 2 pencils together with a single dab it will hold extremely strong.

It's strong but not flexible, probably not a good idea. Take a look at some sealant/adhesives. Check out my Maxam dura+ video, something like this would be more appropriate.

I'd like to know how you got on with using the bottle a second time. The fiddly little cap has so litle overlap of surfaces that it can easily fail to seal around all of its perimeter. A few molecules of water vapour get in (Brownian motion) while and pouf!....it's cured in the nozzle. From the manufacturer's point of view this is a feature rather than a bug. Why? Because we poor saps then are forced to go out and buy another bottle for the other heel (with all the environmental resource as well as money waste this implies) and we don't even realise this is all designed in. That's unfettered capitalism for you.

Make sure you read the back with some expanding glues they can be dangerous like expanding foam to pregnant women etc when vapours hit the air . There are alternatives now but of course not advertised that much .

Before I watch this, Ill tell you what happened to me with this fixing the same heal split on a pair of Doc martins heal , I bet this is in the video, I have some craft syringes I used to inject the gorilla glue inside all the areas dampened it a little, injected plenty of it into all the cracks and voids where the heel came away, clamped and wiped off eccess that oosed out a toutch, looked great! came back after 20 and it was a little gooey still so lightly sprayed some mist water over it to cure it came back after an hour and OMG It was like a white expanding foam, tones of it running down out of it it was semi set and was almost impossible to wipe off, had to chissle it off and sand it down and spray it black :D ** OK that went Far better than my go with it!! **
