I have an older 1992 GMC Sierra 4x4 with load level Air Bags. I lift the truck to pull out of the driveway so the Harmar does not drag the street, most people don't have. My scooter a Pride ZT10 dual motors makes it like 250 pounds any regular little SUV this would drop it down. I haul two Scooters, the Golden Buzz Around EX comes apart with no wires, allows us to both go shopping with two scooters. Not sure how small SUVs would do this, show a video about what type vehicle is needed.

Great video, I bought a used Harmar AL500 Scooter Lift without instructions This was very helpful. I have a question about the J-Latch what is its purpose and how does it operate? Thank you in advance & Blest success.

The J-Latch is what Pivots the ramp up when it does not feel any weight on it. The moment there is weight on the ramp it does not fold up, picking up the Automatic chair up. Let me know if you have any more questions and don't forget to always tow responsibly.

How much weight does it hold?

This Lift could hold up to 400lbs. Each lift holds different weight and have different mounting points depending on what chair you're putting onto it and what vehicle is doing the towing.
