The back of my 2021 Toyota Tacoma sags when I have my electric wheelchair stowed in the top position and I notice there's no sag on the Ford you are using. Was the lift installed incorrectly?

Can't say without seeing how it was installed and it also depends on how heavy your power chair or scooter is and what kind of lift you have.

What if your driveways is a slight hill? Does the surface your vehicle is parked on have to be flat?

It would work best if the driveway was flat. Slight hill would be okay

Can I use this on the back of my 30' RV? How much of a drop does it have?

Yes you can. The hitch must be 17 inch from ground to bottom of hitch . So if you are at 20 you would need a 3 inch drop down . Thanks Marc

In order to get into the back of the vehicle you would need a swing away which is an arm that connects to the hitch receiver and to the lift itself. When needing to get into the back of your vehicle you would release the safety pin and swing the lift out of the way once your scooter/chair has been unloaded. Once finished, close the lift and put the safety pin back in and load your unit and your good to go! Hope that helps. I'm adding a video link in here to show you how it works. This video is for the AL-100 which is a scooter only lift. The swing away works the same on all lifts. But how do you get the person into the car?

some people can walk to the front but in the case they couldn't do that then you would have them transfer to their seat and their caregiver would drive the chair to the back and get it secured. this isn't for a adult that can't walk and wants independence. this is more for someone that has a child in a wheelchair or a adult that etheir can walk a bit or already needs someone with them anyways
