David - Thank you very much!. This year I want the raspberry/FPP to control the HinksPix Pro and the Long range receivers. I can access the RaspberryPi wireless. I have a P5 with a ColorLight. How should I do the wired connections of the RaspberryPi ? Do I need to connect the Raspberry Pi wired to the Colorlight and from the ColorLight to the HinksPix Pro ? Or I need to connect the Raspberry Pi to a switch and from here to the Colorlight and to the HinksPix Pro? Sorry about my basic knowledge on this. Thanks for your help !

The Hinkspix Pro definitely works with FPP without a proxy. This is my third year using an HPP with FPP on a Raspberry Pi and I've never set up a proxy.

Can you explain the setup...? I just got it working but with the proxy only.

I cannot get this to work following these instructions. I used different IP address ranges in the settings for wifi and ethernet, but when I have the Pi with FPP connected via ethernet cable to a switch that connects to my three HinksPix controllers I can no longer connect to FPP via wifi. I also cannot connect to the controllers either. I've tried different variations of what you explained to no avail.

David - This is what I am planning this year. Had a HPP last year. Added a K16 that I want to use to run the show this year. Do I have to run the Kulp wirelessly and direct connect to the HPP? Or can I hardwire both to a switch?

You can do it either way. If both the Kulp and the HPP are directly connected to your network, then make sure that both the Kulp and the HPP are both using home network addresses. You don't even need to change the address of the HPP, just add in the Kulp like you would for any other device on your network. You can also access both controllers directly without the need for setting up proxy settings. Just make sure to set up the Kulp.s E1.31 output settings to the IP address of the HPP and you should be good to go.
