It is the machine - i just bought the same too this diwali and am very disappointed . my previous one was an ifb senator that i bought in 2000 which was really really good . This 2018 model doesn't stand a chance next to the 2000 model. 1 .the drum is very small . 2 .the buttons are so delicate. 3 .the outer shell of the machine looks so breakable when compared to the 2000 model senator . The ifb demo person who came home to install the machine himself told the present day machines are only more of fancy stuff and that they are not as strong as the previous ones.
