Thanks Jordan, it was useful but here are 2 improvements I would suggest. First, I would remove the background music in your videos or at least lower the volume. It just creates more noise and makes it harder to focus on the material presented. Second, instead of your sample clips being more of you talking, why can't you use clips that are totally different from you? Otherwise it's confusing specially at the end when you run the video. The rest is really good! Thanks again

I just put everything on my desktop lol audio and video files. And move them as I need to. Great video guy. After hours of deliberations I finally figured it out lol. I looked at 3 or 4 videos and yours made the most sense lol, thanks again and just remember to command b.

Awesome! Glad it helped. I dumped everything on my desktop for the first few years myself too. After a while, the memory builds up fairly quickly once you do this consistently. It got to a point for me where I was editing 45 minute videos at least 3 times a week for some clients. When you are making videos more consistently it's definitely worth it to look into external hard drives.

i don't have a mac i have windows but the layout for iMovie on mac and iPhone are almost the same, i usually use iMovie on my phone since very editing software i download always comes out laggy and choppy for me i just got movie maker for windows its pretty much an off brand i movie for windows reminds me alot of imovie as well by the way great tutorial!

Hi Jordan, I made an album of the clips I want to use and it comes up under libraries rather than importing. I can drag clip by clip into the editing area, however when I select multiple using the shift button and drag them into the editing area the order is off, they go newest clip first and oldest last which makes no sense for a vlog. any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi @patkav ! to cut a section and place it into any other part of the timeline think about it just like you do for copy and paste when you're editing a document. Cut the beginning and end of the piece you want to move to the other spot. Then, click on the clip so it has a Yellow selection ring around the clip. After that, Hit "Command + C" for copy" and move to where you want the clip to go. Then, hit "Command + V" to paste it. Alternatively, you can cut the selection. then right click on the clip and find "copy" and then right click in a blank area on the timeline and right click and "paste" it If you want to use it in another project, I would recommend exporting that clip as its own video and upload that video clip into your other projects

That is the Question. 🧐 I'm using before and after pics on a property that was tenanted, looking 'ordinary'. We decided to let the tenant break the lease and move... Great question! I have yet to find a way myself. What I have been testing is using the color editing and filtering out some of the red colors so it's at least not as visible. You can do a lot more with this idea in more robust editing apps like Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro

My imovie screen is waaaaayyy more simple than the one you show. I have very few options basically I have only split and delete
