I'm already a Pro user of Inkarnate and I'm always searching for hints and tipps for mapmaking so I get better results. I think i'm missing some sort of dimension relativity - my cities are always bigger than mountains because I want to emphasize the bigness of the city with its inhabitants.

Honestly, this is something that I struggle a great deal with. I've somewhat come to terms with the fact that I don't have a strong natural eye for these kinds of things and have taken to keeping other people's maps open that I like while I'm working and trying to match their scale which I've found has helped but my placement and color mixing still needs some work haha.

Inkarnate should offer the "pro/full version" for 7 days and after that it changes back to standard (free version)... Because how can i make a buying decision without knowing how it feels like? 🤦‍♂

Noob question, how would you implement an inkarnate battle map in your battles when playing dnd in-person? I just can't wrap my head around how people play dnd with battle maps created on an online program. Like, I can understand creating world and regional maps and printing them out in order to show the players where they are on the grand scale of things....but battle maps? how? Wouldn't the prints be too tiny to use miniatures on?

I'm asking this before watching the full video, so maybe I'll find the answer within, but... I saw a map-making program that let you create a world map, but then if you wanted to zoom in on a particular region, it would create it for you, based on what was logical according to the world-level details. Does Inkarnate do this? If not, I am thinking of a different program...

Inkarnate does allow you to do that using its "New map from region" feature but you may also be thinking of another tool called WonderDraft which also provides that functionality. I hope that's helpful!

Hi, I've got a question about changing the colour of the assets. I saw you explaining it and thought "Oh wow, how blind am I?" Then I went to my inkarnate to find out: I don't have any options to chance colour or saturation. I just can choose a Shadow, but can't change it's direction either. I use the Pro version, so why don't I have it? Great video, by the way!

Hmm, that's very odd. What kind of map are you working in out of curiosity? I just tried it with a Regional HD Map and an Encounter Map and I still get those options in the 'Stamp Options' area of the right hand sidebar. And would you mind posting a screenshot?
