I update this video every couple of years as Instagram makes changes, so look at the first comment in the description to make sure you are watching the latest version.
Let's get on the phone and make an Instagram account from scratch, and I'll use one of my larger accounts to show you how to move around Instagram and post your own images and videos.
DOWNLOADING INSTAGRAM
All of the advantages that Instagram can provide you on the social media platform are available in the app store of virtually any phone. This is compatible with iPhones, Android phones, and Windows phones. Search for the Instagram app and then download it.
There is also a website, Instagram.com, but this is intended to be used as a phone app, so I won’t be covering the website here as it is very limited.
Instagram is a photo and video-sharing social media platform that was founded in 2010; in 2012, Facebook bought it.
Once you have the app, follow along with the video to create an account, follow other accounts and post your first picture or video to Instagram.

Thank you for the great overview. IMHO, the social media platforms have gotten so caught up in the features race that they've all become waaaayyyyy too complicated. And thanks to this complexity, they've lost the concept of "intuitive interface". It shouldn't require 5 videos and an hour's worth of time just to begin understanding how to use an app. Well, thanks to Elon Musk's excellent stewardship, I think we'll soon have one less app to worry about!

Some of these menus have changed. If the video is from 2022 then you should update it according to the current Instagram UI seeing that you put "2024" in the video title.

I know how to use Instagram, but one of my classmates from middle school and Houston Community College Central who is bad news is posting inappropriate stuff and is a scammer. I reported it already and I contacted Instagram about it before nothing has been done about it. I don't know rather or not if I need to call the cops. It's bad enough that he picked on me at school and the teachers lied to me about him when I reported his behavior instead of punishing him and he took things that didn't belong to him including my backpack. I have to go after him to my backpack back. He plays the victim, not me!
