This was very helpful. Like Mosby's men, this is the third video I watched to figure out how to use this thing! It's that lock tab that is not intuitive and, without instructions, is hard to figure out. So I owe you one!!

......So, it looks like the knife sheath then rides on the outside of the belt, and One normally has to remove the belt, in order to take the knife and sheath off, (in other words, the toggle lock, and "squeeze" steps are only necessary during the initial assembly of the "Tek-Lok" assembly onto the knife sheath. = it's not used very often!..) Thanks!!!! This really helps, since I just bought a Boker double edged combat dagger, and I need to get it set up for EDC. Thanks!!!

CRKT did send me one of these for free and the customer service is great but it doesn’t even come close to fitting my sheets and I don’t understand this. It looks just like the one you have.

When I received my holster from Tru-Blade the Tek-Lok was pre attached. I noticed on your video, and on another I watched you put the release on the top of the belt. Tru-Blade put it on the bottom. Does it make any difference?
@JandGSheaths3 жыл бұрын
Not really it's a personal preference, I feel it's easier to open the latch from the top.

Thank you so much for this video. I sat there looking at the belt clip for 10 minutes and couldn’t not figure out how to open this thing.

Thinking about ordering a Tek-Lok. Have you found that once the belt width has been set that you can easily thread the belt through the opening without opening it each time. Thanks for the Informative video.
@JandGSheaths7 жыл бұрын
47fireguy you could run your belt through but why wouldn't you want to open the latch without having to take off your belt?
@47fireguy167 жыл бұрын
Agreed there may be times to open the latch but if I am putting on several items on a belt it may be easier at times to thread through it. Just wondering if you could run a belt through it. Thanks.

Decided to finally order a tek lok after seeing your video, now after receiving it, the included screws are like half as long as the ones in this video, screws weren’t even long enough to pass thru the kydex holster rivets
@TheFrogInYourClosetWatchingYou4 жыл бұрын
did you try it without the rubber pieces? Tek-Lok really cheaps out on this product... It should include more sets of screws in varying lengths... Its pathetic that they only include 3 sets of small screws.

Very nice quality materials with a terrible design for adjustments. I spent two hours last night removing three screws to adjust position of the Tek Lok on a new BladeTech Classic OWB. The t-nuts are nearly impossible to access with a blade driver when attempting to unscrew the phillips screws. Had to make a tool to complete the job. There are a couple of obvious ways to simplify screw/t-nut access, and it baffles my as to how the designers missed this. Again, great quality materials in belts, buckles, holsters, mag pouches, etc., but not at all user friendly if you wanna make other than "standard" adjustments to the factory-mounted Tek Lok on the classic holster.

3:30 who cares about wiggle room if the entire thing slides side to side? I cant stand the fact that they didn't design it to actually grip onto the belt itself. I don't want to go to pull my blade out and the entire tek-lok pull back with it until it slams into my belt loop eventually tearing it... My solution was to use two of the screws in the center of the tek-lok with the rubber pieces on the inside so they grip the belt and stop it from sliding side to side. The problem with that? They only give you two screws so that leaves me with one screw to attack my knife to the tek-lok which isn't enough.... For what they want for these things they should include 5-6 sets of screws.... Its pitiful
