❤❤❤"...and you know what happened?....Not a fucking thing." ❤❤❤ OMG...I am your "inquisitive doppleganger". I LOVED hearing you describe this because this is a MAJOR pet peeve of mine. Namely, people who just accept what they're told...accept it as gospel...and pass it on until the end of time without ever taking the time to understand...or to cross-check the information. Actually...even this I would find only "mildly annoying"...but when these same people start acting like I'm "overthinking" the issue or "being difficult"...when I really just want to understand what it is I'm doing...THAT is when lose patience.

I was wondering about purposefully "contaminating" some pickle to use as copper plating solution. Thanks for mentioning that! And good to know that I wouldn't have to switch it out if I did.

I instantly love you. 😝 I get really frustrated when people say things like that but can’t explain they why or the how. I’m a bulldog about questioning that sort of thing! Also, I love that you used the “f” word. 🤓 wonderful information, thanks for sharing.

Love your videos! In a home studio, how do you dispose of used pickle?
@JewelryArts3 жыл бұрын
So glad you enjoy them! Hold your old pickle over the toilet, add a teaspoon or so of baking soda(it will foam up)after it settles down, flush it down the toilet.

@@JewelryArts The copper sulphate left in the neutralized pickle is a hazardous waste and should not be flushed down the toilet.

@@JewelryArts I realized I wasn't using the right flux so I bought another one and it works well. The only problem is that it melts and become silver on my gold color jump ring. Am I using the wrong kind of flux? or should I use the yellow liquid flux instead? and how long should I leave the jewelry inside the pickle for to clean the jump rings? thank you for getting back at me :)

@@tcyva4845 Pickling usually takes 5 minutes or so, and paste flux is my favorite. Are you saying your solder looks silver colored? What kind of solder are you using?
@tcyva48452 жыл бұрын
@@JewelryArts okay thank you! it's the "no clean sac305 lead free solder paste" by MG Chemicals. once it melts the area where I put the flux becomes silver. is the pickling supposed to removes that silver part on my gold jump rings or am I supposed to used the yellow liquid flux?
