The Rob Biernacki series is worth its weight in gold. OK, I guess that would mean it's not worth shit since it's all-digital, but the point is it's the most scientific instructional I've seen yet. The focus is ENTIRELY on concepts and their applications. It's so incredible, that you basically just have to watch each one a few times through and you will automatically get better. The concepts just sort of find their way into your game while you're rolling without even really trying. Seriously, I watched the back attacks course 3-4 times and a week later I was pulling off rolling back attacks from quarter mount and chair-sitting back-takes against blue belts (I'm a white belt). I watched the top game course twice and immediately started using this knee mount "home base" idea; the kimuras, arm locks, and collar chokes just kind of started "happening" on their own after that. The "base, posture, structure" concept is easily the most powerful idea I've ever learned since I started grappling. Now, I am pretty good and watching and then doing (strong visual learner), but I feel like this would happen to a certain extent with anyone that buys this series. I know all of this sounds like a bullshit infomercial, but that was my experience. Had to say it somewhere.

Thanks so much for writing that! These principles and concepts changed my game in exactly the way you described, which is why I'm so passionate about teaching and sharing them.

It definitely sucks if you're on the bottom - have you learned any good, reliable escapes that work for you? Life will get better once you do that...

Stephan Kesting Senpai noticed me I can't train currently, but before leaving, a regular training partner started experimenting with knee on belly a lot. He was already better than me and it was brutal! I wouldn't mind videos on how to escape it, but I intend to do research and focus on it a bit more once I'm back in training. I'm a no-gi bjj pleb, though.

Too me, being new, this position seems rather unstable. I get bucked off almost everytime. Not sure it's worth it when side control and even full mount are more stable
