How to use Launch Control: Mini Cooper S 0-100

When using the launch control - do you have to shift with the paddles or will the car shift up?

You have to shift with the paddles by yourself otherwise you will blow up the engine!

CSR TV hmmm, will the engine blow up after I lift off the throttle or will that happen before I lift off? My actually question maybe wasn't worded the best, it was more to the point, can you do launch control in full auto or can it only be launched in sport manual? Oh I've only driven a car for 20yrs, funny enough I've never had a car blow up 👍

I have a mini cooper s countryman 2011 fwd it doesn't have sports mode if i turn off traction control and put left foot on break right foot on oedal then remove left foot from break would it work as launch control?

It's front wheel drive, that'll be why.

The F56 Cooper S makes peak torque starting at 1250 rpm. Has nothing to do with it being front wheel drive

No, only in sport mode can launch control

Do you have the option of putting the car in green, mid and sport? On my F56 MCS drive modes was listed as a standard feature and not an optional extra. I guess its different from country to country

Hey, good that I came across your video! The issue is that I can't make it work. My 2016 MCS has an automatic transmission but it was fitted with regular mini steering wheel from the factory. My car has to have paddle shifters for it to work?

No, it doesnt have to be equipped with paddle shifters for it to work!

Correct. No paddle shift = no launch control. It was only a feature with cars equipped with the Sport automatic trans/paddle shift.

@@nemesisfamily7109 Although I don't have my MINI anymore, I did code the sport transmission and few other options. Launch control was activated and shifting got better :)
