btw, what she failed to mentioned is that you can still get calls and texts via WiFi if it is still connected regardless of airplane mode being active/enabled (if it really affects coding per interruption).

Vince B not sure if it does. And I believe that is only FaceTime calls and messages. You also have the option of DND. So if you’re paranoid you can use that

How’s the reliability of your car been? Do you have any rust problems? Has the interior held up or does it squeak and rattle a lot?

Tom B no issues!! No rust since I’m in Cali! No rattles or squeaks from what’s left of my interior lol! It’s a track car so it’s pretty noisy!

Hey nice mini. I have an 2012 R58 coupe S, I have that same Bluetooth connector on the way. Can you show me how you got the inactive fogs to act as break lights? I’m still waiting for the connector but I have the app. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hell yeah!! My windows go up now, stereo possessor upgraded (volle-insz 3.0), lights on the doors come on when I'm in reverse, plus a few extra little things. It takes two seconds to look up all the coding on the internet. Thanks from my Chilli Red 2016 R56. My only thing left is the check engine light comes on because of my JB4 tuning kit is jumping off the JWC tuning kit. Any ideas?

Great video, is this going to work on R57 2009 convertible?Currently I can’t open and close the windows, soft top with the key fob.Only the doors and the trunk can be open and closed. I will appreciate your help.I can’t find any info how to do that and would love to do it myself if possible.

Gino Frenn theres an expert mode that you have to know the coding to change things. There’s bimmer/mini forums out there with the necessary steps to code the rear fogs!

Custom Creations it is in expert mode. Not sure about it for the second gens or how to code that for them. I’d look on the forums!!

Custom Creations I found mine on mini F56 forums. I can’t say for sure for your car. I haven’t looked into it. I’m sure if you research “r56 rear fog light coding” you’ll find it. That’s how I found mine

Schlumpfpirat I would but there’s a risk of becoming “liable” so don’t want to show to show expert mode since if you code it wrong it can mess up your car. I’m sorry I hope you understand. I do believe there are some BIMMER forums that talk about it!

Juliette Hallie so if your unable to show us how to code in expert mode can you tell me if you have a physical switch in the dash that operates the rear fogs OR is it coded because there is bulbs already installed in the housing??? I want to code them with my VeePeak but I wasn’t sure if there actually is bulbs inside those lights or not

Habib Masmoudi I set mine up to be brake lights so I don’t have a switch. I think for them to be fog lights you’ll need to wire them😊

Great video subbed u. I just bought a 2019 f55 4dr hardtop s. Car came with halogen bulbs and tried so many led bulbs and also connected canbus decoder h4 to them and got no codes but led bulbs will flicker for 5 seconds then steady. Also tried hid bulbs with decoder harness but threw malfunction bulb code yet no flickering. Ugh sorry for the rant, got frustrated and reinstalled factory h4 halogen bulbs back in. Came across few in forums stating to use bimmercode and obd port adapter to fix problem. Came across your video and u made it look easy. Can u help me with some instructions on how to, currently I just ordered the veepeak through Amazon and will be using android samsung to link with bimmercode app. Also do I need to pay for the bimmercode regular app or expert? Again thank you for your help where my mini cooper service will not turn off voltage sensor or any coding. Also will this void warranty?
