Thank you. Can you please do tutorial about lighting big scenes? Like streets and buildings, how do you light that? One hdri only or sun light? Or combination of lights?
@AcademicPhoenixPlus6 жыл бұрын
Hi Tritoon, thank you for your comment. I'd like to eventually do a big scene with lighting. It really depends on the scene. Sometimes just an HDRI light will work, but most of the time you have to add lights to emphasize what you want the viewer to see. :)

IES lights are fun, once you discover them. :)
@snapz1173 жыл бұрын
Photometric Lights seem to be quite handy and a quick and easy way to produce an effective light source. What scenarios would you use one of these over another light mode? For example if you wanted to create a spot light effect, would you use an arnold light or a photometric light with a spotlight IES file? Thanks.

@@AcademicPhoenixPlus the thing is that Arnold lights aren't showing in vray render and vray lights aren't showing in Arnold render. Is ther any renderer that can shows both of lighs..?

Ok. Arnold still cant count photons... sooo not photorealistic... its really good.. but its not simulate photon particles right???
@AcademicPhoenixPlus2 жыл бұрын
I don't believe Arnold counts photons, so it can't do caustics and other things. But it's fast and it covers a ton of lighting options!

i just only have one question, i want to export jpeg of the view from viewport only, not render, because i wanted to show all the measurements i put on my model, i don't want to use snipping tool, it's not giving me high resolution image

Try doing a print screen from your computer and then cropping it using Photoshop or any image manipulation software. I hope that helps, Samuel!

I really want help with something. I made a lighthouse and I need to use Arnold to render my scenes so I'm using photometric IES lights to create a beam of light coming from the lighthouse. Light is coming out just fine but it isn't creating the bean which I want in order to make it more realistic. Can you please suggest me tips if there is any?
