How To Use Mesh Warp In Affinity Photo V2

Learn how to create a Mesh Warp Mockup in Affinity Photo V2. Using the new Mesh Warp tool, we will take a photo and apply it to a blank book image and bend and shape it and add blend modes in order to create a great looking design.

I am using a MacBook Pro with Apple M1Pro silicon. It is fabulous. My dream machine would be the Apple Studio when it has the new M2 silicon.

I would love to have the M1 Pro silicon as it seems like it would run every app with ease. My imac has served me well for many years, but it's definitely due an upgrade as it's just not upto running some of the current apps I use without struggling. I wanted the apple studio the moment I seen it, but definitely comes with a big price tag with the studio display included. I'm pretty impressed with the new mac mini that was just announced.

Well, i guess you said it, but it took a while to settle in. I've struggled from the beginning to understand what you could do differently with the PLACE option, and this is certainly one effect. I couldn't find the replace image option in the move tool context tool bar at first - because I was using an image I had copied instead of placed. Brilliant, btw!

How does one create a book cover design? Would appreciate a short video on this topic. Thank you for your help

Designing a book cover is a pretty straight forward process. It's just a case of creating the correct size canvas for your cover size including the bleed and margins. Then just adding some images and text for a simple design. Of course you can get more creative and blend images together and add effects for a completely unique design. I could probably put a book cover tutorial together using affinity photo when I have a bit of spare time.

Do you think the warp tool is good for making custom vehicle wraps? Or is there a better method 🤔

Yeah it will do a great job for custom wraps providing you can warp it to the contour of the vehicle. It takes a bit of practice to master the warp tool, but the warp tool is probably the best method for that kind of project.

I don't use the ipad version, but I'm sure the desktop and iPad versions have all the same features so it should be possible.

Unfortunately there isn't away to do it in Affinity Publisher.
