mine locks but in the horizontal position. Like the horizontal position you do to initially slide it into the hand guard.

When installing multiple mlok pieces I always feel like the idiot on an infomercial with a flashlight and head pressed next to the barrel trying to see if it’s lined up, angled, or hitting on something going “there’s gotta be a better way!”

Mine just keeps spinning and spinning - it never seems to catch. Not sure if it's because my MLOK handguard is polymer.
