Thank you for the great tutorial, I’m going to be quilting a patriotic wall hanging in Sept. I saved your tutorial for future reference. Threading through the needle eye tip when you are over 60 😉 Take a black Sharpie marker and color the tip of the monopoly so you can see it.

First time user of invisible thread. Watched a number of videos, read several articles about brands, etc. and after watching your video I ordered the Superior Mono-Poly and Titanium Coated #70/10 needles. I used the MP on the top and regular thread in the bobbin. Loaded up the machine and did a test run on an extra square I had made along with batting and backing. Sewed like a dream. I did not have to make any adjustments at all to my machine. I’m now on to my baby quilt project and needle and thread are sewing beautifully. I’ll have to say the hardest part of all this was finding the end of the thread on the spool!!! Thank you for such a great tutorial.

Linda, I a lot of the time have the Mono Poly in the top & the bobbin with no issues. In the past we were told not to put invisible thread in our machines as it was Nylon, Mono Poly thread is so different it does not cause the problems . I love this thread. Cheers Pauline

Hi, thank you for the information on the poly thread. I have tried it and just hated it. I threaded my bernina and it seems to be working. I am not familiar with your books as I just stumbled across your video but am interested in them. Are they available at stores or only on your site? But you have so many great tips just in this one video. Thank you!

I have a Bernina 330 and the bobbin winder is like yours but not controlled with the foot pedal. When you put it on the winder there is only 1 speed...FAST..I am currently working on a quilt so i don't have time to get the book😢 my fabric is puckering awfully😢 i really need to use this thread in top and bottom
@PQWQuilting Жыл бұрын
If you machine is a computerised like mine you can slow down the bobbin winding by going into the settings on the screen. it should show you in your machine manual. If your fabric is puckering the fabric release the pressure of the sewing foot a bit. too much down pressure on the foot will create puckering. Hope this help, cheers Pauline

Does the monopoly thread hold up in utilitarian quilts over years of use compared to cotton thread?
@PQWQuilting2 жыл бұрын
Hi Pamela, I have been using the thread for well over 10 plus years on all my quilts , my quilts get washed on an average of 8 to 10 times a year as they are always traveling and been handled and the thread is still as perfect as the day I stitched it in. Cheers Pauline

Hi Pauline. Is this ok to use with a plastic bobbin?
@PQWQuilting2 жыл бұрын
Yes the Mono - Poly thread can be used on a plastic or metal bobbin without any issues.

The invisible thread I bought didnt have a netting with it. Gutermann from Joann Fabrics in the US. What else can I use?
@PQWQuilting3 жыл бұрын
Leslie , be certain you purchase the MONO POLY thread if the one you bought is monofilament I would not use that in my machine as it is most likely Nylon and that is not good running through the tension of your machine, Nylon thread can also melt if a hot Iron is applied. Mono Poly thread will be available from most Quilt stores and it will come with the net in the package. Have fun and enjoy, Pauline

is audio thread as good as Monopoly thread?
@PQWQuilting2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kellie....I'm guessing you were meaning Ordinary Thread, instead of Audio Thread? :-) Mono Poly thread is what I use in my top and bottom bobbin because it's not only strong, but it is clear. Perfect for making quilting patterns without having a particular set colour of thread. And because it is clear, it is also great for keeping your stitching subtle so your patchwork material patterns stand out. It all comes down to personal taste really.
