My only regret about multi boards is that it is designed in blender, not in parametric CAD. So its files are made of low abstraction matter, MESH, and not higher abstraction matter like planes and edges and cylinders... And you can turn the latter into the former easily, but opposite is not easy.

I do like the idea of Multiboard but sometimes I watch these videos and think this isn’t the way to do it but I think it has promise.

We actually use a mix of CAD, Blender, and a few other tools while doing design. CAD files, while very powerful, are also extremely slow to process, export, and configure, so we use Blender and scripts to do a lot of our bulk exporting and configuration. It *is* possible to replicate most of our parts using the remix STEP files, with the exceptions of a few that we don't currently wish to have remixes of floating around (often as they might change a bit still). I completely understand the feeling, as I'm CAD focused myself, but for release and distribution mesh is king, and printers will turn a STEP into a mesh regardless before printing
