Never considered using Blender for mechanical modeling. I'm intrigued. I'll go check out your playlist on it. Thanks.

Impressive. You show the versatility of blender. A little late though as i modeled (xml data) the threads in Fusion back when you first released. Another good concept "folded bolts" As usual thanks for the great ideas.

Hello I love your product and I want to print some Multiboard. But my problem is that I am new to 3-D printing and I just got my Bambu lab X1C 4 days ago and still trying to figure out all the settings in the slicer, which is very overwhelming for me since I have zero past experience in the field. So I was wondering if you could make a video on the settings do use and modify in bambu lab to print Multiboard as fast as possible, without damaging the quality like what is the best settings to use Ludacris mode 🙏

wow, this is amazing! I needed something like this to break apart a 3d-printed pipe, but I needed the bolt and the nut part. Do you have a nut generator too? And can you show a demo (a 3d printed result)? This is going to save me so much time, thank you!!!

can you create a large through hole bolt with no threads on the outside to work as a nut?

I have not added that into this a Nut's are already a part of multiboard.

Every time I see a new multiboard update from you it feels like the system is getting more and more complex. Multiboard appears immensely flexible but that flexibility appears to come at a cost of complexity. I’d rather see a standard set of parts pre-generated, including bolts, and standardize the community around them. Frankly it’s pretty overwhelming and the complexity is what’s held me back from digging in deeper and actually kicking off any prints. Do you have any plans to simplify things?
@Keep-Making6 ай бұрын
I understand the frustration but we also have to keep in mind that things are still in development. Plus, the best way to think about Multiboard at this moment is like a box of Lego at a garage sale. It might all look like a mess and complicated as there are no instructions or plans laid out for you. But you know inside of the box are some fantastical builds or two and it's up to you to really bring it to life. However I know that is a tall order and with due time, all those plans are things that will be coming in the future. Plus down the line an entire virtual environment to toy around with ideas before hitting print plus 100s of videos from myself once things get really solid.

@@Keep-Making yeah I definitely see the potential and it's clear you've put a TON of work into the project. So don't take my comment too critically. I think what would help folks to get started is a set of 5 steps (or whatever number) or a "starter pack" that doesn't really give you any options. Just "here go print this set of parts to get a feel for the system". Maybe use your free standing legs with a single board and an assortment of parts to organize a bit. That way there's no commitment to drill into a wall mount. The fewer decisions someone has to make to get their first print going the better. Lower friction means easier introduction. If I had a quick and short guide like this I'd go print some things right now! Does such a thing exist yet?

@@AlanLaMielle Thank you and no worries as all I embrace feedback. My question would be is this not the started pack?: www.multiboard.io/get-started before to scroll down and explore the links on that page
@AlanLaMielle6 ай бұрын
@@Keep-Making yes the "build a multi board" page is a great start. What would reduce friction even more would be to publish to Maker World (as I have a Bambu printer) and Printables/Thingiverse/etc. In Maker World a single model with say 4-5 print plates with the components all laid out would be perfect. Then there's not much more a Bambu printer owner needs to do but click Print and work through each plate.

@TheGreatWolf135 ай бұрын
The Multiboard system is free, but there are extras you have to pay for this being one of them. I don’t think it’s mentioned anywhere that the bolt generator is free.

"It is not a good practice to have such a large pop-up window, especially when it concerns subscription cancellations. I have already pressed the unsubscribe button sometime in May 2024, but I wasn't paying close attention to the pop-up's corner. The unsubscribe button is hidden among several other marked buttons, making it difficult to notice. Please review your interface design."
