Hi Melanie...enjoy your channel. New to Streamyard...so still learning. But I have a question....I haven't seen anyone cover this or if it's possible. I want to make a little more dynamic.....so if I have 2 to 3 guests on a stream and I am using overlays. If I switch to a solo few or a different few....is there a way to have the overlays change with the switch to a different view?

I love this idea and I also tried using the cell phone with the earbud cutoff plug in. I like this much better because it is easier and better quality pic than phone... but I'm also trying to use my Bluetooth earbud and it won't work! I can hear myself in the earbud and I have to mute the second camera mic because of the echo...but either way I get no audio on the screen...which I really need to use to help with my sound quality. PLUS...I'm really wanting to add the Stream beats from Spotify in the mix like you explained...but don't see to be able to do all that at once! I guess I'm asking for too much!

It´s works great, I did a live with 3 cameras using 2 laptops, the trick for me was : Main laptop with main camera and mic, then the 2nd laptop (with speakers off and mic off) with 2 browser windows opens as invites (1 for each camera). the only thing to take care was in the 2nd laptop be sure to clear cache from the browsers and be sure you are entering as a invite, because if you have your streamyard user in the cache your would end entering not as invite but as admin and that slows down the live and creates problems. That was my experience. Good luck

Hey there! Thanks for watching. So you absolutely can. You actually do it the same way, just on your iPhone. You just to go StreamYard in Safari and join the same stream. I just tested it and it worked! You may have more difficulty with the audio issues...so if the iPhone is the 2nd camera, I'd mute it in SY and plug in some headphones because for whatever reason, you can't fully turn the speaker volume down on the phone in the scenarios. I'd love to hear if this works for you.

@@PurgatoryParanormalofNY hi there. So, that could be because your audio speaker chosen for the 2nd camera is an active speaker. Thanks, Jasper! You're so kind. You can use the LogiCapture app to adjust the settings on your Logitech Brio, but I doubt you'll ever get it to closely match the Sony a6100...but in some environments (with simpler backgrounds) you can get it close. For your other question, Luria was using Ecamm, but using Restream to multistream the show to all of her channels. I just use StreamYard for my shows (no Ecamm - I'm on a PC).

This is perfect for beauty youtubers also!!! I really need a way to shoot two different angles, one over head and one as a head shot. And this is so doable!!!! Thanks so much. The only suggestion I might make is that your thumbnail kinda looks like you are comparing the two cameras because it's the same pose in each camera. I'm not a dummy I read the title but just a suggestion get that side angle pic to throw as the other pic for the thumbnail so we see that you can achieve 2 angles!!! Ps you're gonna blow up!!! You're insanely talented.

Yes totally perfect for beauty videos as well! You could even have a camera shot on your makeup spread and tools as well so show what you're selecting and why, etc. And YES thank you for the thumbnail suggestion. I totally see what you're saying.

Does this have a four square layout, like four participants on the same stream?? And can you use animated backgrounds for the layouts?
@MelanieDyann
@MelanieDyann 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Andy. Yes you can have up to 6 guests or sources on screen with the free and basic plan. If you are on the pro plan you can have 10. Animated backgrounds work as long as it is a GIF file under 3mb and you’re on the basic or pro plan. Let me know if you want a free trial. Happy to help.

Hey there Don! I am so sorry I missed this comment. I'm not sure why it wouldn't show up....first it should show up in your studio backstage...then you would click on that 2nd camera to add it to the actual stream...just like when you bring up a guest. Hopefully you've figured this out by now. Again so sorry I missed your comment until just now.

I never thought to do it this way! The only potential issue is a slight bit of lag, but it's hardly noticeable and if you're doing a demo it doesn't matter. Is audio an issue with echo? If it is, I think you can turn down one of the other to zero.

reat stuff. is there a way to add lag to the other capture so there is no audio delay?
@MelanieDyann
@MelanieDyann 2 жыл бұрын
Hey there. So there aren't any settings in SY that allow you to adjust audio lag. I find this is typically an issue if your system doesn't have enough RAM to have both cameras and browsers going at the same time. I have used many other streaming platforms and IMO StreamYard has by far the least amount of lag issues.

Hey there! Great question. So I had 2 microphones hooked into my computer. When I entered the 2nd camera, I selected the mic's headphone jack as my speaker. If you don't have a set-up like this, you can select your speakers, but make sure they are muted. Hope that makes sense.

I came to say the same. There’s latency that should be address. Could be a few things. But I’ve not played w/ the canon software but there could be a setting there. but now that I think of it - could be the stream is actually going through StreamYard and back to the client, creating enough latency, since it a sep browser. I would quicker buy an ATEM MINI and another inexpensive webcam and try that way.

Hi Melanie. Thanks for this very useful tip. What about recording? Can you do 2 separate recordings of the 2 different camera angles? One recording the full screen front view of you and the other can do a full screen side view of you. This will allow you to have more room to edit in post. And you don't need to constantly press the window icons to switch. Have you tried this? Many thanks.

Hi Jovel. Great question. The short answer is no. StreamYard isn't really built for that type of video creation. It's built for live video, and not so much for post-production editing.

How do you handle the audio on all of these different cameras? The audio feed back is the big problem.

Great question Toni. There are a few ways around the issue...I have a second USB mic hooked up to my computer. I select that mic, but it's muted on the device. SO, no audio comes from the feed. The other issue is playback audio...so you'd want to select "speakers" that are not active or turned down. Hope that makes sense. I learned this through a bunch of trial and error. :)
