5:28 , on Android you can swipe right from the bottom right of your screen, or activate Google Assistant in some way. Then click on "Search Screen", which will scan the text on your screen and make it selectable. You can then select the Korean text, then click the Google Translate popup that appears (same popup that shows Copy etc.). This way, you can translate the Korean text to English.

This video about using Naver, along with your 7 day Seoul itinerary, made our trip to Seoul in October a great holiday. Really easy to use, hammers your battery though using it all day so you definitely need a power bank. Thank you.

Hello, Sir! Thank you so much for this video, as well as your other videos. This is an off-topic, but may I know if we can have a DIY trip to Nami Island, Gangchon Rail Bike and Garden of The Morning Calm using public transportation? I have been constantly researching, but I could only find booked tours. We’d like to explore these places at our own pace, so we’d like to know if it is actually doable. Thank you very much in advance for your reply!😊🙇♀️

Naver and kakao map are commonly uesd map among Koreans, they provides many optimised service and like search engine, email, sns chat, map, foods, transportations, they build up strong local platforms for many years, you can use them with Korean language only, it is not a good things for foreigners. As for google map, it is good in Korea but not competitive with Naver and Kakao now but gains its market share one by one.

I have a question: why there's a separate app (Naver Place) to find specific places that cannot be found in Naver map? I'm struggling in finding some kdrama locations including restaurants and in the caption of the posts with the address of these places it's written "Naver map" or "Naver Place", who thought dividing the app in 2 would be helpful

Hi Yong, I signed up for Naver map app and noticed when I'm pin/bookmark places to visit on my list. I get different addresses on naver and from google ie.. Lotte World - Naver shows 40-1 Jamsil-dong and other searches show 25 Olympic-ro or my hotel Four Points by Sheration - Naver shows 56 Dongja-dong and other searches show 366 Hangang-daero Yongsan, and 1 more example - Olympic Park naver shows 88 bangi-dong and other sites shows 25 Olympic-ro - which 1 is more accurate / current? Thank you.

Why Google maps don’t work in Korea? It seems odd if you can use google search and translate? I am planning a trip and have found it all really overwhelming as it is so difficult to find information which is clear. So thank you for your videos. One item I have not been successful with is finding a map of Seoul city bus network. There is one website but when you try and click on the ENG map it will not load and you always get a “timed out” in the end. As South Korea welcomes more and more foreign tourists it really needs to do better. I know it goes both ways…western countries should do more too to have materials available in Korean or Japanese etc. But it is frustrating and the difficulty of getting the information one needs adds to the stress. I always prefer taking buses in places I visit as you really experience the country more but it is so difficult in Seoul it seems as you can’t just see a map with all the routes on it.
