I use this daily driving to work and it’s great when the car in front of me is driving the same speed. When they slam on brakes so does my car. If someone in another lane cuts in front of me my car hits the brakes. This happened yesterday when a vehicle in the other lane veered into mine my lane then quickly corrected themselves.

What about on the highway where cars are changing, whichever ones end up in front of you does it track that or would you have to reset it

I can see a problem when following a car thru town with your ACC on and that car your Nissan is "locked onto" runs a red light (or barely gets thru a yellow). That leaves you probably actually violating the red light (if you are being too reliant on your car semi-driving for you). So the car you were locked onto makes it thru ok but your Nissan gets a ticket. You have to be more aware and "engaged" when driving in an area of town with lots of traffic lights....and other distractions.

I have a Sentra sr 2024 on interstate engaged it comes up malfunctioning, is this because I am hitting the brake, or accelerator I did know it does that for you

If you hit the brake pedal it cancels the Intelligent Cruise immediately.

You can rely upon the Pro Pilot to stop the car, no worries. It beeps, this means that Pro Pilot has disengaged. If it doesn't beep, you're all good.
