Okay I have been painting minis and have subscribed to a ton of channels but how in the world have I not come across your videos?! The KZbin algorithm stinks. Your content is great!!! I like to see the use of the oil washes as I am a little hesitant to try it myself but your videos are giving me the confidence to attempt it! Thank you!

That looks incredible and seems like a super simple and easy to follow method! I think you've convinced me to invest in some oil paints to try this on some of my BG minis.

How'd you get that basecoat down so fast! I've been basecoating my world eaters and I've only got 10 1/2 done 😭
@resourcefulminiatures20 күн бұрын
video is slightly sped up, but with practice you start to see the porper order i wich to basecoat so that each layer can cover the overspill from the one before

I assume the armor trim is what's doing it. Just painted a scarab terminator and base coating the trim took me ages

exciting technique, tempted to try it out on plaguemonks that I'm currently busy with. Just wondering, would there be much of a difference with using gw washes instead of oil paints?
@resourcefulminiatures17 күн бұрын
Painted a clan rat using this technique on Ep.1 if you want to chek it out, the big difference is that you wont be able to clean the wash, and the raised details will end up darker.
@pigeaterpig617113 күн бұрын
@@resourcefulminiatures already did and I think I'll try it out with washes first on a few models. Being able to cleanup any spot a bit with oils seems much more flexible though, definitely will give it a try if I won''t be satisfied with washes, thanks!

@resourcefulminiatures17 күн бұрын

Nice work but I would've said using oil wash better than oil paint. At first I think you'll show how to use oil from scratch😅
