It sounds like a lot. I may be gimping my plants. I run 5 gallon pots and do 1 tbsp per gallon (1 scoop from the bigger half of green spoon), once per month as a starter ammendment - and same rule after the month, for every month, for top dressing. Although, I do top dress lightly** when I have just started/ammended a new setup. Lastly, it often times out well to just transition from 4-4-4 to 2-8-4 and I often have nitrogen burn as a standoutish result so I don't keep doing 4-4-4 because obviously it didnt use it all in veg and its screwing with flower yields potentially etc etc.

@@sugargraham6868 Not what I said haha. You aren't giving or asking any specifics. SO the scoop is 1 small side and 1 big side. the big side is actually 1.5 tbsp right? so '2 big green scoops" is equal to 3 tbsp. They want you to use 2 of those scoops (equaling the 3tbsp) per gallon. I am using half the recommended dose.

Thank you for the video, I am about to run this, I do have a few questions. If I run FF ocean forest it has everything for 4-5 weeks, would I go straight into the 70% bloom and 30% all purpose? And, do you do this every watering or just the one time in week 5 then plain water to harvest? When you say 70/30 what exactly does that mean for a 5 gallon pot?
@HappyHydro
@HappyHydro Жыл бұрын
If you notice that using Foxfarm in the past will get you all the way to bloom then yes you can jump right to more bloom. I would do this every 2-4 weeks as needed. So with using 1 tablespoon per gallon of medium. You would use a total of 5 table spoons. If you split that up 70/30 it would be like 3.5 tbsp of bloom and 1.5 tablespoon of all purpose. Just be aware that since these are organic amendments that they can take up to two weeks to be fully broken down and able to be used by the plant. So if you are adding some nutrients for the bloom stage, try to time that out as best as you can. Hopefull that helps!!

In general after pre-mixing Gaia Green in the medium, when will it be "time to start top dressing" (5:25 in video)? Is it determined purely by observation, or measuring PPM in the runoff? Some rule of thumb? Any guidance would be appreciated.
@HappyHydro
@HappyHydro Жыл бұрын
Hey! Measuring runoff would be beneficial for the most accurate timing since you can see the nutrient decline. Other than that since they are organic dry amendments it takes a little while for them to break down in the soil. So a little rule of thumb is around every 2-3 weeks you should be top dressing. Hopefully, this is helpful! If you have any more questions feel free to give us a call or email us at help@happyhydro.com

First time grower here don't quite understand anything he's saying if anybody could help I have bio365/bioAll soil with Gaia all purpose multius505 and Gaia power Bloom 2-8-4 does anyone have any advice on nutrients to soil ratio and water to nutrient? Any stand up advice would be greatly appreciated.
@HappyHydro
@HappyHydro 9 ай бұрын
Hey there, BioAll is a living soil that should provide enough nutrients up until weeks 5-6. After that, adding in Gaia Green is a breeze. Do you know if you are growing autoflower or photoperiod plants? I am unsure what size pots you are using but the calculations are derived from that. If you are growing in 5-gallon pots, I would recommend doing a 50/50 top dress, so 2.5 tablespoons of All Purpose and 2.5 tablespoons of Power Bloom. Now Gaia Green All Purpose and Power Bloom are insoluble so you don't mix it with water, sprinkle it on top of your soil, and then you would just water your plants normally. Also, being a beginner grower, I highly recommend avoiding overwatering your plants. When you water them try not to have much runoff and don't water again until the pots you are using feel light to pick up as opposed to being dense and heavy due to water saturation. I hope this helps!

Extremely overpriced Fert. Growers, go to your nursery. That will be the best place3 for you. The internet is not. This is a 10$ bucket sold for 50$ Use your head people.

Extremely overpriced? How dramatic lol. But of course if you get in your car, drive to the store, buy it, and drive it back to your house it’s cheaper. We sell the 2kg bucket for $26.95 at the time of this comment and if you get your order over $49 we ship it free. www.happyhydro.com

@@HappyHydroidk about dramatic… but extremely overpriced is definitely factual. You’re saying 2kg of fertilizer costs $26.95. I bought 12kg of a Espoma all purpose fertilizer for $28. I got 10kg more from a non cannabis brand name fertilizer for, pretty much, the same price. And you can get it from any hardware store. Everyone has their opinion, but you can’t tell me I’m wrong on this with a straight face. ❤ Ps- I was given some Gaia so I use it, but I don’t think I’ll pay for it. But I did come to learn about using amendments.

Hey Chase, are you adding it to water first or sprinkling it on the soil first?
