Great video. The process is very similar on a Windows PC. I am not a Mac guy, but wanted to point out that if you are using a mouse, holding down Ctrl while using the scroll wheel does a zoom on the pattern when in "move" mode.

Thank you so much for this wonderful video. I have an Android tablet, but it's old and doesn't stay charging very well. I've been trying to get this to work though an emulator on my laptop before, but could not figure it out. This definitely helped and it's working perfectly.

Hi! I’m new to pattern keeper. Question: how come I don’t have the legend on the side of the screen. Is it because my tablet is very small? I have a Lenovo M7 (my grandson’s old one🤭)

I got confused on pc how do I get my patterns in it for pc? I'm nit interested in Pattern Keeper. I downloaded BlueStacks. If I download Pattern Keeper in BlueStacks do I still have to pay for it in BlueStacks?

Great alternative, but, I'm really not sure about the big fuss over Pattern Keeper. Seems to me that there is quite a bit of time and energy being put toward tracking the process vs stitching. Seems like it could be just as easy losing your place by focusing your attention in a third direction.

I use pattern keeper and also paper patterns. I find there is not a huge amount of difference in keeping track of my progress with a pencil & paper or the touch screen. I like the app cos you can zoom in or out as much as you like and keep track of parked stitches when you walk away. It takes a few minutes to get the pattern loaded into the app but it's still faster than printing or photocopying another paper copy of a pattern to mark. the app also keeps track of how many stitches are left for each colour, which I like because when I finish a colour, I will put it back in my stash instead of leaving it in my project bag.

Caterpillar Cross Stitch does sell their kits with PDF charts. They are not pattern keeper compatible however I have managed to play around with the advanced options to get it to work. Pattern Keeper won't read the individual symbols, but it will load it so that you can still mark off stitches.

I'm not quite familiar with the Chrome Book, but it looks like it runs a special OS called ChromeOS. According to google, it looks like you can run some android apps without an emulator. I would give it a try and see what happens!
