How this hasn't got more views is beyond me, yet more fantastic content Pete. Basically showing people for free how to drastically improve their ability to study the game. Credit to you. Thanks for the work you do.

It's great, this video has way fewer views than the other poker videos related to more basic concepts, that means we are ahead of a lot of people by watching this content

Been watching for a few months now, was googling for help in building out a full game tree for a bot to generate GTO frequencies and it lead me back to Ol' Pete

What bet sizes would you recommend for SB vs BB 2bet pot? My guess is the same as this, but with OOP added in 33,75,150. Also does this mean with IP being the caller, would it drop down to 33,75?

Which are the best sizings for 3bp to run a library in your opinion ?
@rogorz_3 жыл бұрын
Hey Pete, I have a few questions: 1. Is there any reason why you (and most other coaches) use Pio and not GTO+? GTO+ is like Pio and Lucid GTO combined for only $75 (that's just a month of lucid). From what I've seen they both do the same, so I don't understand why most people are not going for the cheaper alternative. 2. Have you tried using more accurate dEV? I only use GTO+ so my results may be different, but using 0.5% seems high. At that accuracy, the solver does a lot of mixing between bet sizes. I've started solving to 0.1% accuracy a few months ago, and I've seen that a lot of spots that were mixing sizings at 0.5% are now simplifying to a single sizing (especially on turns, rivers, and overall in 3BP and 4BP). It's like the solver makes up its mind on which sizing to use only at really high accuracy (the EV of both sizings stay the same, but it makes the strategy a lot easier to learn). It does take a lot longer to solve though, but with your computer I think it would be worth it :) Thanks! :)

1. I hate the look of GTO+. It also lacks some of the output exploration options of PIO Solver. 2. I have experimented here and I agree it works much better for simplification purposes. It really depends how quickly people are looking to build their libraries.

I find expressing raises as a decimal (50%) makes the most sense because it sizes 3x vs 50% bets, goes larger vs smaller bets and smaller vs larger bet sizes which scales nicely, that way it doesn't force sim to raise so massive against larger bets. Otherwise I agreed with every parameter, though I've always been a fan of 33 66 125 add all in, as I think it keeps the granularity and leaves the opportunity for that massive all in bet.

Great video. Is there a reason you dont have an overbet in your flop bet sizings? Thanks

As someone with no background knowledge on scripting, how hard would it be to set up a script? Or where could I find one?

Do you have any material that discusses your choice of bet sizing parameters? You said you’re particular about them, and I would be very interested to learn how you came to the conclusion of your current sizing inputs
@stephenschumacher78763 жыл бұрын
I am very particular as well, and use a similar strat. I use 33,75 OTF, 33 66 125 OTT and 33 66 125 OTR add all in. For me personally, I feel it attacks the game strategy with enough granularity to begin to make deductions about PIO's strat as you have the small cbet/block bet, healthy middle sized bet and larger/oversized bet. I also would rather express my raises as a percentage of pot because his 4x sizing will be good against smaller size bet, but not leave much room for raise/xraise response as those 2bets get larger, the frequency becomes lower.

Thanks for the video mate! Really helpful. I noticed that in your 2BP library the subcategories were all X vs BB. Is that just because you haven't had chance to run the other spots yet (e.g., UTG vs. CO), or is it a good training shortcut to just look at those specific spots? Thanks my guy!

Great video! would you recommend using these betsizes for all SRP in every situation? Should I add some sizes in 3betpots?

Hi Carroters, thanks for the video. How would you run multiple scripts back to back? Also, how do you change the colours/text in PIO? Cheers

Hey thanks for the video. Does Piosolver solve for exploitative preflop strategies? For example is BB is supposed to call 40% and 3b 19% vs Sb 3x can we plug their range in and solve for our strategy as SB when they 3b 15% and only call 35%? Can we nodelock postflop aggregate stragies and then resolve preflop again like say they fold to cbets 45% instead of the 35% that it should be.
@MrRickyt883 жыл бұрын
Also I wonder how much space on your hard drive do all the saved flops and trees take up?

Being told what to do in real time by a solver is definitely not part of the game.
