Excellent video! So helpful! A couple of questions: Once Pirateship is integrated with Etsy, how does Etsy know how much to quote/charge a customer for shipping? Will it still do auto calculations because it will know about Pirate's charges? How do you set up Pirateship in Etsy for just international shipping? Keep up the good work! You still have to set up the shipping cost manually, but you can receive the discount on certain packages when purchasing through pirateship. Unfortunately there’s no way for Etsy or pirate ship to know exactly what box/mailer you will shipping your items in. i do have one question: if i integrate from etsy, i’m still paying for the label and the buyer is paying for the shipping. since i do not get paid for that cost. i’m basically making the buyer pay more, and i’m spending more money to ship their package

The label is the cost of shipping. So if the shipping cost is $5 the buyer pays that then you go and get the label for $5

Question: when the person orders the product on Etsy, and then you print out the label on Pirate Ship, how does the order get filled out for Etsy for the 1099 documents? Is it automatic after the shipping label is purchased? For instance, someone pays through card, (auto logged on Etsy), you pay for the shipping label, and then the payment is fulfilled that way? Make sure you’re charging enough 😆 you can still ship in the boxes/bags you usually have them in, it’s just going to be an international label instead of a domestic one. I set my international shipping price to $18(plus the $7 I already include for shipping in my listing). I do this because I can always refund the overage of shipping but I could never ask them for more money ❤️

Honestly, and I feel like this is different than most people, but I didn’t start with a lot of candles when I opened up. My main focus is trying to judge what scents do well. So I have been focusing on listing scents with only 3 in stock of each. This is just my strategy, it helps me determine what scents sell well without having 15+ in stock of scents that don’t sell quickly (especially when you have a budget on the amount of supplies you can buy)

I have a question... great video by the way ! When shipping using usps for my Etsy store I have always been able to hit the button to "complete the sale" and write the buyer a nice note and include the tracking number. If I don't include the tracking number, Etsy will ding me for not doing it, and my star seller status is taken away. Today I used PirateShip for the first time and bought a label and printed it and then went back to my Etsy orders and noticed that that ability to complete order was gone. So I just want to make sure that the tracking number has been sent to the buyer. I also liked the ability to write a note, and couldn't do that from Etsy either. Is there a way to get around this change when using PS ? Thanks so much !

So it links to your Etsy but it doesn’t show the pirate ship pricing on your Etsy shop for the customer to see. So that’s where it can get a little tricky when it comes to pricing. You’ll have to set your prices on Etsy separately because it won’t show the prices from pirate ship (that would be an incredible feature)

It really depends! Priority cubic is the cheapest shipping method for me, and Etsy doesn’t offer it. It could save you a couple dollars, or $5-$6 just depending on what shipping method you choose to go with! You can always compare prices between them as well
