Hello I really appreciate your efforts to create such a fantastic guide for teachers but the colors for the pen or highlighter ain't limited if you click on any color using the mouse right-click you will find a color picker and the full-color palate

Are you using a paid version with a licence key - or the free personal edition? There's a lot less functionality in the free version.

Hi Jakub. It's still there on the Maths Tools. So from the menu go to Tools -> Maths Tools -> Compass. Or from the floating toolbar click on Hammer/Spanner icon to get Tools then Maths Tools -> Compass

@@DannyNicholsonsTechFix Thank you, Danny, I have drilled a bit around and found out that compass is only available in the Professional version. I am using the ActiveInspire Personal with no Compass.

@@jakubstransky5324 Ah that'll explain it. The personal edition is quite cut down - you don't get many tools with that. You might want to check out Promethean ClassFlow classflow.com/en-gb/ . This is their online whiteboard software alternative to ActivInspire which has the compass as part of the tools available.

I am trying to customize my toolbar. Changing pen colors is currently not an option. As I am in kindergarten, I would really like it. I go to main menu, then file, then settings. At that point, I only see setting options. None of them are to add more (or any!) colors to the tool bar. What am I doing wrong? :(

Are you using the ActivPrimary look (very blue, very fisher price)? If so - you can't add more colours. There are four squares next to the colours available that you can customise to your own colours. If you want more colours, switch to activstudio/secondary skin.

@@DannyNicholsonsTechFix I was using studio, with zero colors available. When I switched to primary, I did get a color tool bar. I'd rather use the studio, but I followed your guide and had no option to add colors.

Can you have two windows of ActivInspire open at the same time? Yes. Can you have two completely separate whiteboards plugged into the same computer at the same time - depends :) You could cast from one to the other. Can't have them working independently

Does anyone know how to set up a default font in ActivInspire?

I don't think you can. It always seems to start with the font settings you used previously. I can't see a way of setting a default font like you can in Smart Notebook.

Is this software GDPR complaint? I have seen another software similar, ViewSonic myViewBoard Whiteboard . I feel it more user intuitive and easy to use, maybe you can do a video about them thanks for the video !.

Cant see why it wouldn't be GDPR compliant. It doesnt collect user information. I'll take a look at the ViewSonic software.

Are you on the full version? If you're on the personal version (no serial number entered) then you won't get all the features
