How to use Samsung tablet as Windows second monitor

Easily use Samsung Tab S7 FE tablet as a second monitor when we work on our laptop at a coffee shop. Many of the latest Samsung Tablet has this feature to be used as a second monitor for our Windows PC / laptop.
In this video I will show you how easily I always use this set up whenever I do my KZbin video editing at a coffee shop.

​@wilsont1010 well... I've got good news for you. You can now treat your perceived allergy. All you have to do is visit a doctor who will find the real underlying cause of your symptoms. Unfortunately, this only works if the symptoms actually exist. Nonexistant, perceived symptoms can't be treated. In those cases it is recommended that you find a good therapist.

Thank you for that nice trick. One question, once connected as a secondary display, is it possible to use the pen and draw on photoshop for example, as you would do with a regular diplay drawing tablet?

I haven't tried that before, but if you see 1:02, there is an option we can tick to allow pen and touch input on second device. I suspect it needs a strong wireless connection in order not to be laggy.

Yes someone recommends an Android app called Super Display. You can check that out. I haven't tried it before.

This is a feature of Samsung tablets and only the high end S series Samsung tablets. Other tablet may or may not be able to do this. It's leverage windows laptop display casting capabilities. To use a usb cable we will need to install apps on both devices. No longer using Windows native casting capabilities.

It only works on the Galaxy Tab S7, S8, S9, FE, +, FE+ and Ultra which have OneUI 3.1 and above

I wished it worked with the A series tabs. I'm only using it as an extended screen and don't need to spend hundreds of dollars. For a tri screen setup. I have Samsung monitors at the moment and the monitors aren't nearly as good as the laptop screen.

I think you can... I have tried this kind of connection with Airdroid... Where my PC is with LAN, and my phone is with WIFI. And it recognize that its on the same wifi.

I'm not 100% sure, but I can tell you my s7 FE has this, so S9 FE should have it? Make sure it's running One UI 3.0 or above

Doesn't get very hot and surprisingly doesn't drain the battery that fast. Based on what i feel, it drains the battery as fast as the usual screen on time.

What about delays? They are? Is your mouse cursor slow on your tablet? Is it possible to connect the tablet via wire? This should eliminate delays.

Yes there is a bit of a delay and it all depends on how fast the WiFi network is. If you want to use a wire connection, have a look into an App called Super Display. I haven't used it before, but my other audience has suggested that before. You will need to install Super Display on both the tablet and the Windows laptop.

Yes Tab S6 is running older version of the software OneUI, hence doesn't have that option.

On the casting option screen (press Win+K), when you are selecting to cast to the tablet it should display an option for you to select if you want to enable writing on the screen.

Yes we need a fast WiFi to do it. I usually use it on my Mobile hotspot WiFi which (guess what?) there is only my laptop and tablet connected, so the lag not too bad.
