It is the RelyX™ Veneer Cement. The syringe behind is the Try-In Paste

I typically avoid removing or brushing away excess cement from margins before curing , as this will remive pr pull away some cement from the prep.margin interface , creating microleakage. To avoid that i seat the veneer , and apply glycerin over the margins to prevent oxygen inhibition layer from forming during curing. After tac curing , i gently remove the cemennt from margins only, and relyx cleans off very nicely and cleanly.

Yes makes sense, the rinsing is removing adhesive and contaminating it with the rinse agent, the adhesive and the composite material should be the only items making contact and nothing in between.

Why so much bonding cement as the cement lute will be very thin. I would use probably 2/3rds of that in the video with main bulk in centre. This always gives full coverage and far less excess to remove.

So shall light cure bonding on tooth surface first or not also in veneer??
@SolventumDental3 жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you for your interest in 3M Oral Care. The Scotchbond Universal is not light cured on the tooth prep or the veneer. • Scotchbond Universal should be scrubbed onto the tooth surface for 20 seconds, air dried/thinned for 5 seconds - Do Not Light Cure. • Scotchbond Universal should be scrubbed onto the bonding surface of the veneer, air dried/thinned for 5 seconds - Do Not Light Cure. • Apply RelyX Ultimate to the veneer and seat. Final cure is 30 seconds. Please always refer to the Instructions for Use (IFU) for complete product information. Thank you!

@@SolventumDental why u don’t use cure after put scotchbond on tooth and veneer ?
@SolventumDental3 жыл бұрын
Hello Saleh - The reason we do not recommend light curing the adhesive on the tooth is to avoid the potential of the adhesive pooling. If the adhesive is pooled in an area and light cured, the veneer may not fit as well as it should. If the veneers are less than 2mm in thickness, the light will penetrate through the veneer, cement, and cure the adhesive. However, the adhesive can be light cured on the tooth prep prior to seating the veneer if the clinician prefers. Please always refer to the Instructions for Use (IFU) for complete product information. Thank you.

Prashanth Kumar : no you dont cure the bonding agent, curing is done after placement of veneer on tooth with ur relyx veneer cement.
@richiejohn86536 жыл бұрын
once spot cure is done,esp cervically, the excess is removed with a blunt probe, so the partially cured cement comes out as a single unit in a snap.. one doesnt simply swipe it off cz it will create micro-gaps which might cause post of sensitivity :)
@drprashanthmds7 жыл бұрын
there are special carriers for veneers. you have to cure initially from under surface to avoid shrinkage. this video is totally wrong.

Hello -- Due to the number of variables that exist in a clinical situation, we always recommend that you consult with a dental professional before getting a procedure done. They are in the best position to review your health status, oral care needs, and the technical product information to make the appropriate recommendations for you. Thank you!
