Thank you. Did the reset and now have my Roam connected to latest SONOS app. Had it connected to legacy SONOS app. Got rid or all my legacy SONOS equipment to simplify. Have much SONOS equipment and will check out your other SONOS content.

Like always your How to’s are simple and efficient. I now understand almost all my roam functions. The only thing missing, but this isn’t a part of your excellent video is I can’t get it to join my google home. I also can’t get my Sonos one to join google since I’ve upgraded to S2 sonos app. I follow all the steps but when I get to the part where google searches for new devices it won’t see them. Little tech issue that I’m working to find a workaround.

Note that google assistant will only work on Wi-Fi mode.

@@HowToPM thanks for the help, like you said I do manage the procedure it is very easy I’ve tried it many times but for some reason S2 won’t see my Sonos Roam and One. I use to have my Sonos One on S1 and worked perfectly. It’s really a mystery and continuing my research. It’s a good thing I love problem solving in I.T. ;-)

The only reason I can see it won't connect on Wi-Fi is because it would be on bluetooth mode.

@@HowToPM hey I managed to connect my Sonos One and Roam to Google home. it wouldn’t connect because in google my sonos one had been connected previously with S1 app. I removed my sonos one in Google home app and then was able the add it and the sonos roam while using the sonos S2 app.

Hi! We used to have the entire SONOS system at our house. But we ended our relationship. Can I buy only a SONOS Roam and create my own new SONOS account and just play through Roam speaker, or should I have the original speakers first and in addition the Roam?

You can use Roam only if you wish but I would recommend to only have one to cary and small speaker like the Sonos one for the rest as they play so much better.

I love my Sonos Roam, it’s a great speaker and the sound is amazing, the functionality is great and the design is nice. My complain is Why Sonos didn’t include a power adapter? Just the cable and that’s it, my unit also gets a little bit hot when I use it too much time even when it’s charging. What happens?

Hi José. Well, USB is now a standard thing and most people already have a lot useless USB power brick. You can even have it directly on the wall now. So many company stop to sell their product with it. About the heat I don't think it's a problem, espeacially when you charging it. Charging a battery produce heat.

Can you skip a song while playing without access to the app? Also, I should add that at my workplace (where we are using them) we cannot have the virtual assistant in use. Why? Because after a very lengthy conversation with technical support, apparently the assistant will work with 3 sonos speakers but not any more than that. So please if there is a way to skip a song without either of these things we would all love to know!

I think a double tap on play is a skip and a triple tap go back.

You have to setup a voice service first. And it will only work on Wi-Fi.

I's really simple until you wnat to take your Roam pair on hols. then you have to factory reset Roams and start set up again once you are off your home router. pita

Bro I'm losing my mind all's I get is a blinking green button a red button and when I push the power button in the back it's inconsistent and just kind of does whatever it wants but it refuses to give me a blue button or a blinking blue button just green and white button and it also makes no sound when I push the power button in the back It seems to be extremely defective and it's brand new

You need to connect it on wi-fi with the app first. I think they a very far from bankrupt but clearly, they failed on that one.

Such an irritating speaker. For a button that is at the centre of the product, it isn't nice, or particularly ergonomic to press. It gets pressed whilst in my bag and then merely being connected to a device for a fair length of time, drains the battery. It isn't particularly great if the products 'minimal' design compromises the basic functions of off on, and then connecting. Just have a bt button and a wifi button and then a decent button/ toggle. Outrageous as they're pretty pricey!! It does sound great though.

I have several Sonos and all are brilliant. I utterly despise this thing, it is the most unresponsive useless piece of crap in my house. Can't get it to work properly, it just sits there ignoring you no matter how loud you shout or which button you press. Then it works but gives no reason as to why it did it for the next time. Rubbish
