In this video tutorial, I'll be explaining
how to write IMEI to a Spreadtrum Android

device using Write IMEI tool.

First you need to boot the device into Diag
Mode then connect to PC.

You should have
this under Device Manager.

Next you launch WriteIMEI.exe
Under device manager, you take note of the

port.

Here I have COM63 so you come under
Port and you select COM63.

You click on Mode Select and tick Normal Mode
then click Select.

Next you click Read and you should have the
device info displayed.

Now, to write IMEI, you copy the IMEI(s) you
wish to write and you paste under the IMEI
0:01:07.960,0:01:11.030
fields.

Now, you click on Write.
0:01:17.159,0:01:21.810
You should have a PASS message.
0:01:21.810,0:01:26.359
If you wish to write other addresses like
Bluetooth address, WIFI address or Serial

Number, you
come under Select (SET) and here you can tick
0:01:32.140,0:01:52.049
the appropriate boxes.
0:01:52.049,0:01:58.229
Once you're done, you click on Save and the
other addresses should be enabled.

So that's how to write IMEI to a Spreadtrum
Android device using WriteIMEI tool.

It will not read IMEI I have flashed FW with SPD Flash tool and it worked on com port 15 but will not read on imei reader. Im using a spreadtrum device.

The only logical explanation is that you were unable to get the device into Diag mode

diag on com port 15. but broken somehow. windows 7 drives are good no issue in device manager.

for anyone who has the same issue, use "calibration mode" select "usb" take out the battery, plug in the usb, enter your new IMEI, click write, put the battery in and it will work. or at least that worked for me.
