Mate I am really enjoying your vids and learning a load, thanks. Can I ask what length Star picket driver you have? You scared the bejeezuz out of me with your farmhand story, so I have been looking for a long one ever since with no luck. Thanks again for all the tips

@@FarmLearningTim I have watched ever one of your vids, love em. Gallagher make a 1200 which ive already ordered after measuring the fence. I also grabbed a crinker and DeBarber based on your recommendations. Do you know how to make the Angled fence bracing? if so I'd love to see a vid on that, seems to be whats mostly used around here and it saves a post. Thanks again regardless, your videos have been an incredible help

Tim as someone who has just bought a bare hundred acres six months ago, there's lots of work ahead of me, but your video's are going to make it safer, more economical, effective, less frustrating and a whole lot more fun thanks to your efforts in making these video's. All I need is somewhere to live on my acres and a Hilux!.

I just installed 2.4 m HD Fencestay posts for 4m gate on Alpaca fence (1.5m fence height) in hard rocky ground in Gippsland. I'm impressed by how easily they were driven in using 20Kg post slammer.

Very impressive & practical. Looking at your wire winder to make it versatile (for another video you shared of unwinding a roll of dripper hose) cut off the four uprights on your wire winder and weld them onto four short sleeves that have a nut and threaded wing bolt for locking. That allows the internal diameter to be altered for what ever roll you're unwinding. Years ago I bought one from Steer Engineering. So practical

Beautiful product. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for on yr channel all day. What are your thoughts on the gate taking the weight of a timber finish panel for a permanent fence and gate Tim ? Good to hear yr web site covers product saves us the run around.👍🇦🇺 Cheers Tim, love yr channel.

I's there a reason why the steel box assembly is opposite to a timber assembly.?
@FarmLearningTim
@FarmLearningTim 3 жыл бұрын
Small advantage for the steel being that way as it can rely on compression tension in the stay. The diagonal stay in timber only works under tension of course

G'day Tim. just wondering if you could help us with knowing what is a fair price p/m for a goat fence using ring lock and gal star pickets. And including end posts. It seems to very so much from place to place, as one place will say one thickness and next place says something different. Can you please assist us in anyway of getting the correct supplies and a fair price?

Winch power is irrelevant if you're driving with the winch in lock. Stalling the ute doesn't really show much either. Im not against the system, just the biased advertising. It was wobbly as as the end, not a good look. Just show the system, don't make up tests that ruin the systems respectability and then try to onsell the future system because you've shown the current ones failures. Not a great view of a decent system.
@1koshari
@1koshari 4 жыл бұрын
yes and no, the ute test was obviously a gimmick and light hearted at that, tims running road tires so they woull brake traction a hell of a lot sooner than say some muddies. i think anyone who has ever used a winch knows that if he put the ute in park and hand brake on then used the winch motor it would have pulled the assembly well and truly out of the ground,
