Nice thank you for sharing the dried piece with clear string gel. Helps to see an end product. TY

I would think this would be good in different squeeze bottles too for more control. The tips of the bottles can be different sizes for finer or thicker "string"/strands. I went out and bought an acrylic medium after one of your videos. Now I have to add this to my supply list.

I want to get some and use it clean and let it dry, then do color glazes over it. I did that once with some medium that was getting old, and turned out stringy. It looks good.

I used to play making patters but not with the string gel. But mixing fevicol and paint 😂.

Informative video, Michelle. Thanks for sharing. One personal question: Are you related to Claude Theberge? I bought a limited edition print of his from a gallery in Quebec, and just had to ask.

Thank you, Steve! You are not the first to ask this question. It is quite likely that Claude Theberge and I are distantly related. My understanding is that all the Theberges in Canada are descended from the same family originally from Les Biards France. I think it was one or two siblings who emigrated to Quebec in 1671. :)

@@MicheleTheberge That's great! I love his work and am glad I found your KZbin tutorials. And I can relate to people asking I you're related to a "celebrity". My last name is Stamos and I respond the same as you when asked if I'm related to John. Here's to us living vicariously!

have you used acrylic ink with tar gel to write or print readable text? Given that, as you point out, it's hard to control-and if you have used tar gel for text, what applicator would you use, given that I think the dripping from knife method wouldn't give control.

I haven’t tried that. I don’t use string gel very often at all. I mostly just studied it so I can teach about it. Good luck trying different things out! I’m sure you can figure it out with a little patience and ingenuity. And perhaps someone here will be able to help you with suggestions as well!

Do you have the link showing how you used string gel in a painting Please?

It needs to sit after mixing to let the air bubbles gas out, the longer the better

Does it come in a smaller jar? Or just a large one, I'm wanting to try it but don't know if I want such a large jar. Or do I ???? Lol

***** Funny! I replied to this yesterday but it's not showing! I've only seen it in 8 oz or 16 oz. It doesn't come in smaller jars but you may be able to get a sample from a distributor or store.
