No problem Martin, This is a form of up-selling. You cannot through Stripe. However, you can look into a tool like systeme to help you. We have a few tutorials on this.

I understand that domestically the fee will be 2.9% + 0.30 per transaction however, if a payment is coming from the US in US$, will Stripe apply the 2.9% + 0.30 per to the original US$ charge OR to the final CA$ converted amount?

Great video! I have a website landing page for a short term rental where customers can ask for a quote. If I use Stripe, can I send them the quote (link?) and have them pay on it if they decide to book my short term rental? I received an application fee on top of the 2.9+.30c do you know what that is? I've been looking for a reason but haven't found it. I noticed it's not flat rate it's also a percent because it was different amount on separate transactions. When I invoiced, there was no application fee just the standard one.

I only did a few hundred dollars worth of business with them and they refused to payout $130 dollars I had because they said my website was out of date. I told them i'd just refund $65 each to my two customers and then close the account. One customer received a refund and the other one didn't, so they kept the other $65 and was no longer able to get access to my account. A couple of months went by and they hit me with a $1410.20 charge and they still won't respond to my emails.

It's frustrating since it's an ideal turn-key user experience. Have you found a way to have a first-time buyer be a true "Customer" in terms of Stripes' features using payment pages?

@@StewartGauld After a LOT of digging I can't seem to find this option from Stripe's out of the box Payment Link configurator. It looks like you can only do it through using the API which requires standing up a custom Stripe integration. It also seems like there's nowhere to find the 'starter code' to match the Payment Link page UI to then make parameter tweaks like this default customer behavior I'm asking about. Guess I'll have to stick with the turn key solution until there's bandwidth to build a custom integration. 😢
