The missing business model + platform for creatives ✨
Dear fellow creative, artist or small business owner who wants to put their voice out there,
For the longest time I felt like I didn’t fit.
That I was square peg round-holing my way into business and my purpose.
I knew I had ideas and experiences I wanted to share, but I never found a model and space I felt I could really share them in.
Until I found Substack and everything clicked…. I found that missing business model, creatives like us are craving.
That's why I want to introduce you to Substack and the 3 reasons why it’s become my full-time focus:
It’s that missing business model, a gentle business model, that we’ve all been looking for.
1. You can create whatever you want when you want.
2. You can be found for your work and gather up a community that cares in that process.
3. And you can get paid for your creation (even if you don’t like to ask for money) with their unique paid tiers.
I can’t speak more highly about this platform and how it’s changed my life.

THIS! As a full time KZbinr with over 180k subs then leaving that to be a coach I felt like I needed that in between. I was constantly on edge with the views and posting constantly on KZbin and IG and then again, worried I wouldn’t get a client the next month when I was coaching. I’m OBSESSED with Substack and will be making that my main space as a creator and teacher ❤️

Great video. Im a dad though, with grown kids. Ive explored Substack. Ive also started a couple of videos on YT, that are really tough for my personality to figure out how to do well. I wanted to comment that I really appreciated this "reading style" from your notebook. Havent seen that before. Worked well. Best of luck.

Thank you, Megan! Substack has a steep learning curve but I think all my efforting will be worth it. When you post a video (which is my preferred communication styel) does Substack automatically generate a transcript? Or are you creating that elsewhere? Okay, I'm off to check out your mini course.

Of course! I'm so excited for you that you're at the beginning of your Substack journey! The set up takes a second but it couldn't be easier to use it! Yes- Substack does generate a transcript but I have not used it because I record and edit in Descript but you can record directly into the platform! They also recently integrated with KZbin (in a way) so that the video you post to Substack can also publish to KZbin if you choose to check that box. The same happens with the podcast feeds too- it'll pull the audio from your video which allows more of your community to find you! Let me know if you have any questions about the mini-course! Right now I bundle all of my courses together in my top membership tier on Substack but I'm also going to sell the courses individually.
