I intend to be helpful to all. Shall I add this comment here, or not?: "In Hindi, tamas (तमस्) means "darkness" or "ignorance". It is one of three gunas (tendencies, qualities, or attributes) in Hindu philosophy: Tamas: Darkness, inertia, inactivity, dullness, or lethargy Rajas: Passion, activity, energy, emotion, and expansiveness Sattva: Purity, goodness, illumination, enlightening knowledge, and lightness"

Tantra belives any thing or karma which can decrease or degrade our chetna or consciousness, if used properly, same thing or karma can increase our consciousness to next level. So nothing is good or bad in universe. Only we need to unlock method to increase consciousness

That is not necessarily true. It depends on the lineage or practice. People use the word tantra to denote an all encompassing practice which accepts all of your darkness as a meditation or path and that is not so. Some tantric paths can be very sattvic in nature. Some aren’t that sattvic and imbalances get created cuz proper cleaning isn’t being done and the consequences can be big.

as someone has conciously gone through the ordeal, I can understand very much of what you are saying. However most people will not get anything, perhaps they do not notice the main point even of what even is that they have to do. It starts with basically observing your so-called tamasic behavior like laziness, procastination, anger and many other ugly things. Take a moment to observe it before acting on it, everytime the urge rises, just keep observing more and more. Eventually you see it for what it is, now you can chose to act on it or not. Its never about rejecting, its about seeing things for as they are. There is a certain naked beauty in tamas, its raw power in its crudest form. Simply doing Tamasic things wont help you, you see it for what it is first and develop a understanding and then when it comes time to act...you chose whether you'd act on it or not and honestly that is HUGE. Imagine this, you are a chain smoker...you observe this desire to smoke, give it a long consideration whether you'd like to smoke or not...if you feel you want to smoke then light it up and continue this next and next time it happens, you dont pull in morals into this, nor health bullcrap. You just see if you really wanna smoke or not and do it if you truly desire to do so, one day you dont wanna smoke...so you dont and you dont feel bad about it nor like you missed something because you conciously made a descion to not smoke that day and perhaps you feel like smoking next day but more and more you make the desicion more concious then it cannot become compulsion. There may come one day that you feel smoking isn't suiting your life and quit and hence all the energy that went into it can be used somewhere else. All the time you used to go to market to buy you a pack and time you took to smoke it is now available to use for something else entirely and hence you can conciously fill the void with another thing. This concious desicion making is the key of Tantra and cannot be ignored. I've never shunned my desires for hypocrisy, I've embraced them for what it is henceforth I drink alcohol but the alcohol doesn't control me, I weigh risks and benefits and make my call whether to drink or not drink and even when I do drink I atleast make it fun for me with good things to eat, watching a nice show and enjoying it for what it is. This sounds intensely simple and it is but this is truly the truth behind it. I've never glorified my desires, nor rejected it and chose to indulge as I truly desired. The deeper you go, more you understand that its mostly the compulsions that are the issues. One can drink alcohol without becoming a addict, one can smoke without being a full-time smoker. The only thing is that you make the concious desicion over it, this is the way you truly have understanding and control over it. Otherwise you'll be a addict whose body is in pain but he just cant stop indulging in his object of desire despite it harming him tremendously.

@@SiddhaTantraArts I'll be very real with you, I've tried hard but I can't find anything more than this fundamental, rest is all methods are straight up conversion into sattvic, Path of Tamas is very overwhelming at times and challenging, while Sattvic is light and too subtle for most. I've always been stuck in between both extreme ends either I am purely indulging or straight up living like ascetic meditating while isolating myself. As a fellow person who wants to understand tantra, I've always understood the value of Tamas and my initial success came from understanding its value however I've come to a point where nothing is ever the same and the old techniques have stopped working, I've been sitting on a bottleneck for years and I can't tell whether I've regressed or progressed at all after that. I've seen it both, the lightness of sattva and overwhelming weight of Tamas and perhaps for a while even the burn of Rajas. Leaving that aside, most people would truly mostly be interesting in Tangible gains they can feel like what I've said because they can use it in their lives, maybe to get rid of addictions or get away from bad habits or be able to see through deception and lies. I do agree Tamas has incredible potential but the methods require alot of self control or supervision otherwise one would end up insane or addicted to something. This is why often whenever I mention tantra people get the idea of promiscious behavior or black magic in their mind but they fail to understand that Tantra is the true technology behind Yoga itself. I know for a fact Tamas can be utillized as great tool but problem is that you've to be willing to put yourself in that torturing situation to be able to harness what comes from it. For me, my curiousity was intense so I didn't even think of it being torture but for most people it seems like being in grueling pain for something they can't understand.

You've only proved that you're one of the 'most' people I've talked about. If anyone has taken even a step into the life with the effort, self-control and patience it deserves, he or she would know hence these silly question wouldn't come.

If we are primarily trained in a right wing sattvic traditional path, the tendency to judge tamas as bad will naturally come. And by repressing our tamas and trying to get rid of it, things may worsen.

I've always felt this. That inertia is what leads me to spiral into bad habits, destructive beliefs and depression. But, it's just a law of nature. It's just a rhythmic pattern. Just like the planets or seasons. So, if you use it properly, you can also use it to create wealth, happiness and joy. For example, you can get 'addicted' to drugs. But you can also make a habit of exercising daily and then you get used to it or 'addicted' to it. The body falls into a rhythm of it. With enough will power, we can technically create any rhythm we want. Turn the animal self into a friend and ally. We can create positive thoughts patterns and repeat them till they play on loop, rather than dwelling on negativity. We can even make a habit of winning or succeeding, and fall into that subconscious vibration Almost like the vahanas of the gods!

Entering pure black is incredibly sacred but seldom understood. In the beauty of light we can become spellbound, and often do not go deep enough. The dark, requires a feerless strength to continually see without judgement, and then go beyond seeing. It reveals consciousness itself. There is an incredible, primal, non dual innate purity to it. To stay conscious while dissolving all support of consciousness. Tamas, as an outer quality is just that. As a hiding ground it is only that, but as a doorway, if you keep going it reveals in plain daylight what is not seen so easily. It is not a beginning path, and one errant thought can mislead. Druggy, rebelious nature gets in the way with so many preconditioned concepts. Darkness when seen becomes boundless simplicity.

The western teaching of behavior and personal manner among society leaves so much room for denial and ignorance of self and anything of teaching in Tantra. Many of your examples were ad hoc. So I will use chat GPT to give me ideas for my specific use cases. One thing I did do, is I know that my mother-in-law is very prideful. She also gives my son a lot of screen time. So what I did is instead of demanding or getting pushy with her to stop, I complimented her and told her how great of a grandma she is and that she does well by not giving my son much screen time. That played into her pride and then she stopped giving my son all the screen time so that she could meet her prideful identity of herself as a great grandma.

When it comes to procrastination, people rarely ask _why_ as if there were no reason for it - while they have no trouble to fulfill their instinctive needs once e.g. sleep deprivation or hunger sets in. What one feels still motivated to do when all is lost is what one is 'meant' to pursue under the given circumstances - and it is the latter which is usually ignored in idealization, but integral part of the full picture.

Essentially like shadow work then. A very popular concept in the Western Esoteric Tradition. Carl Jung being the one to assign the shadow as the hidden deep area of the subconscious. Excellent topic my friend! 👍
@SiddhaTantraArts
@SiddhaTantraArts 21 күн бұрын
Well not really..and definitely not "essentially" shadow work. While shadow work offers a way to explore personal darkness, it is a reduction or part of the deep and intricate wisdom web of Tantra. Using Tamas in Tantra isn't just about confronting darkness; it's part of a broader spiritual discipline as a time tested system and path of enlightenment and cosmic balance. Although shadow work is a good accessible package, in a simple and more digestible way, but it does not fully convey Tantra's depth. True engagement with Tantra teachings requires a deep commitment to understand the full scope. And if you want to call something as “Western Esoteric Tradition” then you must draw the line somewhere, to say where the east ends and the west begins. And you will be hard pressed to find such a line - it does not really exist. Carl Jung’s work did not just appear out of thin air. He worked it out by using the works of people before him. Him and other people he quoted all have influence of the east. And that is not new. It is happening today. It happened in the past. As it happened in much of greater history. Perhaps even going further back in history into mythical times when Indra’s victory over Vrtraasura made him known as the dragon slayer which echoed as Vajra wielding Marduk of Mesopotamia in your profile pic. Siddha Tantra Arts and the Siddhas value genuine curiosity and growth- transcending East or West. As grace and wisdom is available to all who are ready and eligible, regardless of background. 🙏♥

Its always liberating, when after the lots of lots of dogmatic, forbidding and guilt-inducing religions there comes a view, where duality of good a bad are disperses. Osho was a teacher who spoke about it a lot. But I have a question! Nowadays lots of ppl, especially in America are shifting to Carnivore Diet (which is pure Tamas, right?). They should be sick, according to basic Yogic teaching, the Ayurveda. But... insted of sickness, they actually heal really really serious, incurable autoimmune conditions. This is a topic I think about a lot. If someone have better insight for the reasons behind it, im really interested! Thank you!

Ayurveda or science of life is not restricted to only vegetarian diet…But yes to a large extent vegetarian diet is recommended for dosha balancing and karma imprints. That’s cost analysis of food.🙏🏾❤️

@SiddhaTantraArts Thank you for your answer, but I had a question....... 😀 According do yogic teaching meat should make ppl sick. But the reality is the exact opposite of it. So many vegans leave their lifestyle, cause of health decline and many many many ppl thriving on carnivore diet, meanwhile they heal their autoimmune conditions, which was incurable for modern doctors and, as it seems, for Ayurveda also. What is the spiritual reasons behind these ambivalence, according to your opinion? Im really interested, cause this is the main reason why I cant trust religions and vedic wisdom, which was my favorite topic to read for so long. Vedas are so confident about this, but its seems fake. Is it got something to do with Kali Yuga? Maybe we should go back to hunting? What Nature wants us humans to eat, if meat is a superfood, scientifically and nowadays veggies are sprayed with 1000s of different chemicals?

Your comments tend to show presumptions and specific associations around Yoga, Veda, Ayurveda etc. It is okay and quite normal pick ideas from what one is exposed to. But it makes it difficult to clear all that in limited youtube comments. However, one can take this sutra. Food is medicine in right amount and poison in incorrect amount. About tamas not being healing, we can talk about modern medicine which has predominantly tamasic guna but it heals. So that’s that. But one needs to ofcourse do cost analysis. Benefits verses harm. Modern medicines come with that baggage….as do different dietary preferences.

@@Zlotyi-7I’ve always wondered about the same thing. I never understood why pale are thriving with energy when they consume an animal based diet and of I have it then I get sick. I think these people aren’t as sensitive. I always knew I was sensitive but it’s like I’ve become even more sensitive since sadhana and other practices. These people don’t do these things. They aren’t interested in the beyond. They’re working from lower chakras and there’s nothing wrong with that, because they do quite well out here in the society usually. For me the world doesn’t feel built for me being as sensitive as I am but if I fight it by trying to consume what other people eat I just harm myself. It never used to be about the animals for me but it’s like I keep feeling them more and more over time to the point where I don’t think I can do it anymore.

Thankyou , I’ve met many shamans and young generations that get obsessed about diet and healthful living and thought yet tie themselves up in knots with their own hypocrisy. They mean well, and some recognise the irony, but yes we need poison to a certain degree to give our spiritual autoimmune system a workout, just like 40 years ago when a kid got chicken pox the mums would throw a “ pox party” before vaccines. We need to acknowledge the dark to appreciate the light, or surrender to pain to appreciate the relief. However hermetically we aspire to be we are surrounded by people or situations with their own darknesses that will spill into our lives whether intentional or not. Self actualisation is a journey, an aspiration, not a destination. Cause if you get there, it’s time to clock off and check out.

🎉 From Hellas till now the philosophers of reason Have with abstract thought walled themselves from the wisdom they so earnestly sought To what pale avail have these rationalists laboured when the nature of being still lies beyond their seeing All thought blinds This, then, is the ultimate paradox of thought: To want to discover something that thought itself can not think By practising mind control, stilling the mind your awareness, consciousness rises into the 4th dimension, Light, Self, God Practice is the sole criterion for testing Truth I personally used the instructions on mind control given by T.Lobsang Rampa. 🎉

Bro that's a fascinating take. I'm a little bit familiar with the Dakinis already, so I'll poke around and try to catch up before I circle back. It looks like your channel may primarily funnel toward that book, which is interesting itself as well. I'm just a bit fixated on * how * Tamasic qualities can be known as raw energy, through a kind of utilization/transformation process. Like other commenters said, maybe it's largely the same as Jungian 'shadow work'. Thanks man, this has the 'ring' of truth

@negrastormentas2865 @forrestchristy6631 @rsn9394 Thank you all for (similar) comments. Lets see how we can address this in short space of youtube comment reply. I will give an example. Just because alternate nostril breathing is a good breathing exercise, it doesn’t automatically become Anulom Vilom Pranayama. Even though Anuloma Viloma pranayama is the basis of alternate nostril breathing. Similarly, thinking of Jung, while I’m not an expert on his work, I know enough to recognize Eastern influences in his ideas. Carl Jung’s work did not just appear out of thin air. He worked it out by using the works of people before him. However, adapting knowledge to align with a different cultural or intellectual framework has led to decontextualization, which often results in the loss of subtle nuances - which can alter the whole perspective/meaning. Also one loses the source. Moreover, if you primarily know about Jung and not Tantra, then your association bank will most likely relate this video to Jungian theory. That may lead to "reductionism". Tantra Sadhana practices goes much deeper than Jugian understanding of unconscious. And more than just "tweaking" of the psyche, Tantra sadhana works on the fundamentals that defines the basis which also includes psyche...there is so much more to it... Lastly, we dont think it is needed in today's time to decontextualize much since the world at large is more connected and the vocabulary and language has become vast. If a seeker puts some effort they can learn and incorporate new ideas in their original terms and grounds. That is empowering. It may require artful bridges that preserves the integrity and still make it relevant and usable knowledge to experience and evaluate. That is what we trying to do here. Lets see, maybe we will talk more about it. My bhairavi tells me many people dont have attention span for long videos anymore in this world of shorts and reels. But it seems we still have people who take time. Much appreciated. Lets journey! 🙏 ❤

@@SiddhaTantraArts Well said. Thank you for taking the time. Jung's term 'shadow work' is often the only similar thing a Westerner's heard of by category, but I understand what you're saying too. In shadow work there's a point where the traumatic emotion becomes like physical pain (usually in the chest), and it's a good idea to try expanding the sensation across the body, so it can be engaged with over time during the session. That's the detail I thought of when you referred to Tamas as raw energy that can be utilized/transformed, and I got this awesome image of myself wrapped in a blanket with some tea... sinking deeply into it - but I can't quite 'feel'/sense Tamas in a similar way. Yet? lol I do get walloped by Tamasic qualities sometimes, like we all do, so I'm very open to the idea that I simply need to study new concepts. All the best
