You're supposed to take the glass off first. He just broke the midgate apart into three pieces. It's hard to maximize space when your truck bed is full of junk. If you take the glass off first, you can use the locks he pointed out first to attach the glass to the lower part of the midgate. Then when you flip that part down, the bar in the center comes with it so it all stays together.

Many people has this misconception that the locks are for the door itself and not to lock the glass into the midgate. This video was cringe worthy, that's for sure. I also expected a whole frame to drop after he took out the glass, but now we know that it's just a divider between the window and the midgate.

I have the Harley edition ext. I have yet to find that seat lever. I don't think I have one. Was it standard regardless?

they quit making them after the 2013 model and will never be made again. so hope you find one in good condition cuz no one wants to sell them. i have a 07 ext and i dnt plan on selling mine. everyone i know who owns one isnt selling theres cuz u can customize so much. i put my sub box in the take apart midgate area he just sampled

That is not the proper way to release the midgate to make the bed bigger. The window comes out first and can be put in a section of the midgate. I don't know how he got the center piece out like that because it is supposed to come down along with the midgate.
