I watched seven videos of people explaining how to use a bellow hand duster pest control without actually using it before I came across this one. Thank you!

Fantastic! This doesn't solve the problem I came looking to solve, but it solves quite a few others that I put on the back burner. Thanks for answering questions I hadn't gotten to yet!

Will this work for granular bait I'm wanting to put under a house foundation? Thanks!
@domyown3 ай бұрын
The Bellow Hand Duster will only work for dust products. Depending on the size of granules, you can use the B&G Bulb duster: www.domyown.com/bg-bulb-duster-1150-p-769.html. But generally, you will need a spreader to spread granules. www.domyown.com/granular-spreaders-c-29_202.html

How do you clean the unit that contains the dust after finished? I am using Delta Dust.
@youtoo22332 жыл бұрын
Use a wet paper towel and wipe off the excess dust that might be on the outside of the duster, that's it

Tye other type of dusters look like they'd work better , the type you hold with your fist and they have a long tube, what do you think?
@domyown Жыл бұрын
The type of duster you choose is based on budget and personal preference. We would recommend choosing the one that you are most comfortable using. You can shop dusters on our site here... www.domyown.com/dusters-c-29_192.html

Thank you for the demo! What bothers me is seeing all that dust clouding into the air outside of the spot you were dusting. I am worried about it getting in my eyes and nose and also settling on the floor and maybe my pets tracking through it.
@domyown3 жыл бұрын
With light dusts its normal to see a small amount of it puff out and hang in the air for a few seconds when applying it to voids, since you cannot completely control all of the air flow it disperses. What little bit that is shown from the video is not enough to be harmful, but you can always wear eye and nose protection such as sunglasses/protective glasses and a basic painters mask or even bandana. If any dust were to settle on the floor you would see it and would be able to remove it with a vacuum if needed. Some dusts are safe for pets to contact, so it just depends on the product label of the item you are using.

How are you supposed to get the black cap back on? When I try, dust keeps spraying out the side air holes.

and it doesn't even shoot out the nozzle .... It spays out the back. What a freakin' mess ...

We apologize you are having trouble with your duster. If you have a bellow hand duster it does not have any air holes. Did you remove the cleaning rod? Could that where the dust is coming from? If the dust is coming out from other places you might have a defective one. Could you maybe send pictures of the holes you are referring to or where the dust is coming from?

I have heard these types of dusters clog and also that they are hard to clean. I saw you demonstrate the built-in cleaning tool. Does it work to remove 100% of the dust? Is it okay to store the dust in the hand duster (keep it in the hand duster) if that is the only type of dust that will be used in that duster? Can the duster with dust be stored in a very hot garage? Thank you!
@domyown3 жыл бұрын
These dusters can indeed clog if you release the pressure on the bellow before removing it from the crack of crevice because you can be sucking in debris. The cleaning tool does not remove 100% of the dust but it will unclog the duster in most cases. You should not store dust in the bellow hand duster because it will cause the material the duster is made of to degrade. Insecticide products should really be stored out of extreme temperatures and out of direct sunlight to maintain efficacy.

What kind of dust do you recommend for paper wasps? I have paper wasps building outside in a very inconvenient and difficult-to-access window (I covered the window with plywood and they built behind the plywood, up high between the plywood and the window). I have no direct access to the wasps, either inside or outside, except to spray in the crack between the plywood and the outside wall. It rains a lot here but currently is dry weather (hope it lasts a bit). Can you recommend anything?

Tempo 1% dust is recommended to treat paper wasps. www.domyown.com/tempo-dust-p-391.html

@domyown8 жыл бұрын
The bellow hand duster is an applicator for dust insecticides. Depending on the dust used, anything from crickets, roaches, ants, bedbugs , centipedes, etc can be killed. The applicator will help you get the dust into cracks or crevices to eliminate insects where they harbor

Anything with an exoskeleton. The microscopically sharp particles abrade the waxy coating of the chitin allowing the desiccant to fatally affect the arthropod.
