We're playing with one of these, what I'd really love to see is a video demonstrating the set-up of the machine and how to determine the primary and 2ndary angles. We are reading the manual, but seeing it would be sweet

The Darex demonstration video says the spindle reverse is for carbide. Im not sure why though.

I have the same machine, i love it . you might want to replace the allen cap locking scew on the indexing ring with a brass knurled screw as was original...this wont mark the body of the spindle and also allows for far better grip for tightening it. also when loosening the collet, on the very front of the spindle there is a shallow pit machined into it and on the front face of the tailstock a little rivited pawl, this swings round and drops into the shallow drilling and locks spindle when tightening or loosening the collet chuck . hope that helps :)

I have to grind a drill with a specific tip angle. We have one of these at our shop, would i be able to do that with this machine?

You will need a tapering attachment which allow you to turn mill or drill with specific angle.
