Yes! You can also press the button to rotate it horizontally or force it into that position and film that way!

⁠thanks! im also wondering if i set it up on a tripod, will it track movement? i’m helping my dad with recording my brothers basketball games but not sure if it has that capability to set it an forget

No unfortunately it does not track movement when on a tripod it must be in your hand
