Roland SE-02 Tutorial: How to use the External audio input ft. the Korg Volca Bass
Hey guys! 🙂 Here is another tutorial video that I hope you guys will find useful... or interesting at the very least. lol This is actually somewhat of an extension video of a previous video I made where I showed you guys a couple of ways to access the filter, delay, and LFO without using MIDI. These methods could come in handy when using a device that does not use MIDI note data such as the Pocket Operators or other non-midi devices.
This time around, I will be using the SE-02 to control and sequence the Volca Bass while proccesing the audio through the external input.All via Midi of course. 😉

cool video, the se-02 is great and the volcas are growing on me since i got the volca drum. have you had the cahnce to try poly chaining the se-02?

I know this is a newb question, but I was wondering if you wanted to stay dawless what would be the best means of getting a kick drum in this Scenario and side chaining it?

Hey! I honestly haven't come a simple or effective sidechain solution in my hardware setups. You might be able to find some compressors in pedal or rack mount form, but they might not be cheap or very practical. I have however, been able to get sidechained kicks in my Eurorack modular synth no problem... don't know if that could be an option for you. You could possibly look into building a small modular system that is dedicated to audio processing... 🤔 just a thought.
