I got this stitch regulator a couple of days ago. It was somewhat difficult to install but is well worth the investment of time and money to get going. My stitches are so so much better than what I could do without it.

I got my first Grace frame 10 yrs. ago. I think the stitch regulator worked successfully then. I can no longer stand and quilt so I thought the Q-Zone would be good to change. I have the speed control installed and functioning, but I can’t seem to get the regulator totally installed. I’ve waited demos over and over. I have the page illustrating the way it should be set-up. I cannot figure out how to hook up the cord that supposedly goes from the control box to the machine plug in. Am I missing a cord that could be hooked between the end hooked into the control box and the machine power cord. I have a Juki 2000. OR, did I install the encoders incorrectly. Can somebody help me??

This is a very imformative video. Unfortunately the stitch regulator does not work with my Epic 980 Q. I am on my fourth cord ( none of which fit properly) and 3rd stitch regulator. Nothing I do makes it work right. The plug is too loose and with not make a good connection.

I have frame Q-Zone with Juki q2010 Tl bought the speed regulator I am thinking into update to stitch regulator because now when I slow down my stitches are large very loose in the back , my question with the stitch regulator how is bottom stitches regulated like at the top of the quilt?
@jeannemurphy64954 жыл бұрын
My question is when the on/off button on the top right of the Sure Stitch is on and button is red should the machine keep moving? My Juki TL98q needle keeps moving up/down unless I turn the upper right button off even if the machine is stationary. Is this correct? I looked through all videos and read instructions and cannot find an answer to this. Please advise if I have a defect in a wire. I would like to pass this one on to my daughter and purchase a new Juki, Grace Frame, and Sure Stitch for myself.

Can I use this stitch regulator without the frame - just for when I’m in free motion with ruler work on my extension table?

Hello Erica, Our stitch regulator uses encoders that attach to your carriage to regulate the machines stitches. It would not be possible to use the stitch regulator without the encoders. If you have any other questions let us know Have a great weekend!

Does this stitch regulator work with HQ Sweet Sixteen I have? It does not have any now. I was also thinking of purchaing the Hoop frame...will this be a good combo and work together? thanks!
@Kimbee-opal603 жыл бұрын
Hi Jo, I see they haven't answered about the HQ sweet sixteen -being able to use the stitch regulator... -I to would love to know this. I did purchase the Hoop frame, but found that using the foot pedal (because I don't have the regulator -is hard to use as I stand and use the HQ 16 on my hoop frame. The machine fits wonderfully on the hoop frame, but with out a regulator or having some kind of hand control is uncomfortable. I called HQ and asked if there was a way to put their HQ regulator on my machine, but they said the making of the HQ 16 into stitch regulations would cost over $3000 -for that price I could buy the "littlefoot" Frame, that is an HQ product. and make that adapt to my HQ machine.

Yeah my stitch regulator lasted for all of two days! When it worked it was great help but next time I wanted to use it I turned it on and nothing! The green light comes on but no stitch regulation! Even the pulse button does nothing. 499.00 for maybe a hour of use. I have went through all the steps again and again. My husband is a computer electronic engineer. He can take a blank motherboard and make it do whatever he wants! If Grace company can’t help me out then I’ll let him tinker with it but not until I exhaust all other avenues.

@@cathyjackson1572 Nathan was so good to email personally and sent me a new one no questions asked and it was my fault so here it is guys and this is very very important!.. Never turn on your machine first or it won’t recognize the sure stitch! The sure stitch must be on first and I moved mine from my craft room to my dining room and turned on machine first and that caused sure stitch not to work again with my Juki! It’s mentioned in the paperwork so pay attention to it because it’s really important! My replacement works great! Now they have a new sure stitch but I bought the qnique pro long arm so I will no longer need the sure stitch.

In case you are still interested, I have recently installed this on a Brother PQ 1500 SL. You have to have the tension high. I am using a tension of 5. My stitch regulator is also set at 5. I have only done meandering. I have the pattern perfect templates and am going to try using those next.

I am working with one right now that I got . It does not regulate the stitches. No matter what setting number I have it on the stitches are all about 1/2 in long and then also skips. I have my machine speed up to the highest speed. the encoders are rolling nicely. I've about gone through one bobbin of thread to get this figured out. Jason has emailed me back but nothing is remedying the problem. Yes it is an expensive piece of equipment and would like it to work!!! I've been sewing for 50 t years so am not new to the sewing world, just this piece of equipment.........

@TheGraceCompany4 жыл бұрын
Hello, sorry for the delay. And sorry you're having difficulties. If the needle is going up and down but it's skipping stitches, the tension is probably too tight. If the needle is not going up and down, check to see if the encoders are working properly. And make sure that the sewing machine is on the highest speed. If you have anymore questions or the problem continues, please call us at 1(800) 264-0644 or email Product Support support@graceframe.
