I just got the 13 pro. The photos I take look overly sharpened and overly ‘HDR’ and I’ve played with all the settings… what is this problem? My iPhone X photos look more natural…

There's no manual hdr control in photo mode, i hate when they remove stuff without telling. I sold my iphone 12 pro max and bought iphone 13 pro , had i known that i would've never done that. Plus i can't have close ups of subjects anymore because it switches to macro mode , and the bokeh from the main sensor disappears... this is not an update this is a downgrade if you ask me

Question, Dan. BTW, that video is extremely helpful! I'm hoping to use my 13Pro to copy some ancient negatives, those 116 or 616 negatives as well as newer color ones. What is the best setting for my camera to pick up the negative images? I'm guessing a light panel is appropriate, but then do I need some sort of box/case for the negative to prevent the camera from picking up the light panel? Then does the camera just sit on a stand? But don't I have to slowly move in, like you demonstrated in this video? Any and all suggestions are appreciated. You don't, by chance, have a video on this subject, do you? Thank you!

Thanks glad the video helped. If you are trying to take pics of negatives you might want to try an app for it. I keep seeing app ads for using the iPhone to turn negatives into great digital pics. That would be my suggestion but it might cost a few dollars for the app. Search the App Store.

Yes sorry, while in the 1x zoom, basically macro switches to the ultra wide camera automatically to give you the closeup ability.
