Wow! This is the first time I have seen someone use this bird call "backwards." It is meant to be used by holding the wood part steady while twisting the metal part.

Mark - actually, I find that I can get greater control and variety of sounds - especially longer and more sustained sounds - by holding the metal tab and twisting the wood part, since I can rotate the wood part further than I can twist the metal tab. In some cases, I can get even more varied results by twisting both parts while varying the speed and pressure. I do it backwards too! I find it's easier to fine tune the pressure with the wood.

it's extra resin to put inside, the resin is for added resistance to get the squeaky sounds
