Yes, these things are super cheap and they do not last long. I would take it back and get your money from wherever you purchased it.

@@TomLeeman Spent the day getting a replacement and came home to do some research about them and watching your video and seeing it smack the camera and you and yours having so much fun! Then...just lots of reports on quality I told my kid that we can only play with the one we have in the house and carefully. Made sure to do the old 'charge it full, drain it full, charge it again' for lithium batteries and it's been stable to charge for 20 minutes and then run for about half that.
