Hi Leila. Question, I've got a scenario I'm wondering if it is doable with Message Boxes. Is it possible to have a message box pop up as an event procedure say maybe upon opening a workbook and display only cells that have values in a given range as well as values of an adjacent column? So for example, if I want a message box to show only those cells that have values from Column I(Eye not L) and then the corresponding values in column C, could a message box do that as a vertical listing? So something like: John Smith - 100 Nancy Smith - 50 Paul Smith - 75 I'm not familiar with the limitations of Message Boxes, but is it possible to do something like that?

I was wondering if there was a way to refill the table after you clear it with the message box. I want to be able to change my chart and if I need to restart, I can hit the clear button and then it will clear and then start from my original table. Is this possible?

You can't do that using the standard msgbox. You can do it by creating a userform.

The MsgBox object has limited customization features. If you need something more sophisticated (i.e. logos, font controls, backgrounds, etc...), you need to use UserForms.

Hi - in the full vba course I cover two methods to send automatic emails from Excel. One is a simple method that uses your default email and the 2nd is for Outlook. We generate different PDF files for different people and we automatically attach them to an Outlook email (taking the email addresses from the Excel file) - we cover this in the 3rd milestone of the course.

Hi Siva - automation in Excel is any procedure that's done automatically - for example in this video, when we click on the button and we get a message box asking us if we want to delete data and we click "yes" and it deletes - that's a mini automation. When you program an Excel tool with VBA, you can automate many different tasks. Inside the course in first milestone (section 9) we automate creating a Table of Contents for our files, in the 2nd milestone in section 14 we automate importing data from other files and creating csv files and so on...
