Each participant can share their checklist using the compiler's ebird ID and the compiler can make a Triplist to get the totals. Ebird suggests another way which is for the compiler to create an account used just for bird counts and never do any checklists on that account. They also need to set an option so the count's species are not counted in the top 100. Then everyone shares their account with the compiler and they make a triplist to get the totals. I've tested the separate account method and it works great but haven't yet convinced any bird count to use it. Some don't use ebird so those would have to be added separately. I think it's worth trying to migrate in that direction because there's so many benefits.

You can create a trip report at any point in your trip. So if you’re only recorded a few checklists you could make a trip report for just those checklists.

The app is pretty limited and is mostly for submitting checklists, but you can go to eBird on a search engine on your phone and you should be able to use it from there! However, as long as you submit checklists from your trip you can use the feature when you come back :)
