Ever tried positioning a car asset on uneven ground? Randomly stacking up a pile of toys in a children’s room? Just using translate and rotate tools, it’s not a quick or easy proposition!
That’s why we’ve added a new tool that enables you to use collision and gravity simulations in real-time inside the viewport for object placement.

The most fun I had with a renderer since this update. I just apply physics to my entire building and watch it explode 😂

This is awesome! I’d love to see a fabric drop tool, where a primitive plane could be dropped over another geometry to have the appearance of a bed sheet or table cloth

Can not imagine if twinmotion collaborate with structural analysis program such as sap2000 from csi, will be a game changer in structural analysis industry

Wow. looks amazing. Pls add then to water some physics interaction - like with floor on video. Like what if we will drop items in water. This items will add more hidden functions.

I tried using the Gravity tool for placing a vehicle on uneven terrain that I imported from SketchUp and nothing happened. Positioning vehicles on uneven terrain is one of the most time consuming things to do in Twinmotion especially for larger scenes. Is there a trick? Does it only work for certain assets? Does it only work for certain geometry?

Is it possible to render a video with all the collision and all the physics taking place? If so, can you do a tutorial on how to do something like that?

seems can't do that, just like decals can't be rendered by the Path Tracer

Excellent Collision, gravity simulations! Next step is gonna be like cloth-fabric drop (cover) physics on assets? Please be so... =)

Yes! Would love a fabric drop similar to what’s available on rhino but as a primitive with a fabric material applied to it!

This is great! How do I reset the mesh after applying physics? also, is there a way to apply colliders to meshes? Some of my items just physic down through other elements.

Great. It would just be good if you can sort out the materials constantly being replaced for each update which is the no 1 prohibiting factor as it is very frustrating to reapply all materials each time as the model updates. I was told a material substitution table would solve this but I cannot get it to work properly despite reading around.

bonjour, la pesanteur c'est super, mais le sol doit être plan et bien horizontal et non pas en pente. Comment faire repositionner automatiquement par la pesanteur un objet sur le sol qui lui n' est pas horizontal, si on a besoin de conserver sa position vertical, le sol en pente le fait tomber. (problèmes pour les architectes qui doivent recaler tous les objets genre voitures arbres, personnages , lampadaires .. alors qu'on doit modifier le un terrain ?

I still think the most problematic thing that Twinmotion must fix is glass placement. If you use standard grass, it goes over sidewalks, etc. If you use DETAIL grass, it makes the scene too heavy. Twinmotion should just add some kind of OFFSET from border, like a photoshop feather. And inverted offset too. So I select an object to place grass and set offset 1 meter. And add the standard (big) grass patches. As the offset is 1 meter, it stops being positioned 1 meter from the sidewalk. Now, for the grass closer to the sidewalk, I select same object and use an inverted offset of 1 meter. So the detail grass is ONLY placed up to 1 meter distance from sidewalk. SIMPLE! I could code it in less than one decade!

With the last one if there was a way to create splash effect in water .. it could be cool to have shots in scenes where humans jump into pools Or even like sugar cubes into mugs

Please add the abiltiy to bake the lightning and all render artists will forget about using ue4 or ue5.

It's an interesting tool, but the video doesn't show its effect, so it's an unnecessary tool.
